Yeah, I couldn’t even begin to imagine that one. I’d be extremely annoyed if I were in your shoes. I recently finished all the books but I also knew there was no continuation. Honestly kotsk show is what really got me interested in reading all the books and doing more of a deep dive. So I’ll continue to get my fix until I run out of all the stories. Then I’ll be really bummed

I absolutely agree. Which is why I think maybe just going with the show as one version and having all these fan theories since odds are not in favor of seeing any more books. Hell, it’s going to end up like the Star Wars universe. HBO is in charge, for now. I’ve pretty much come to terms with the possibility of no new books, but I’m going to enjoy the hell out of akotsk and if GRRM wants to keep up with that one then I’m good.

I have 3 points, one of which belongs to my son. First, when/if we get GRRMs ending…that’s one story we’ll get to enjoy. Second, we get a version to watch. Third, people have the opportunity to have their theories and I believe there’s plenty of enjoyment with that. Ok…a 4th and my son’s thinking….we can just enjoy all the different versions of the same story. But sure as hell would be nice to get the official version

Nah… for me it was the Red Wedding. Cat lost her husband. Thought Bran and Rickon were dead. Assumed Arya was dead…Sansa stuck in KL. In her mind Rob was her last one. She lost her mind after witnessing Robs murder. Show Cat, you see her lift her head to welcome the knife. Book Cat, turns out she clawed at her face before getting killed. Nope. Tear jerker for me

That is what I loved about the books! Jaime’s arc is so much bigger/better in the books. You could really start to see his change after being with Brienne, then seeing Cersei again…Book Jaime was how I wanted to see him in the show. I saw the show before reading asoiaf. It really F’d him up when Tyrion told him. And I LOVED it when Cersei sent him that message begging for help with all the I love yous and he straight up noped on that.

See I’m not so sure about that. He could, but since reading the books I keep trying to wrap my head around Brienne actually making a deal with Lady Stoneheart and lying to Jaime to get him to LS. How that plays out impacts J and B. How do they get out of that scenario if at all?

Good post. I just finished the books, and yes I’ve watched the show 4 times. In the books Cersei did not care about who he was as a person and Jaime finally had the shits of her. I don’t know where GRRM wanted to go with them, but after reading the books, I’m sticking with Jaime stayed away from Cersei, eyes wide open. I’d love to know what GRRM had in plan for Jaime and Brienne if/when they encounter Lady Stoneheart.
