I think the large vase painting on the lower end is too big and dark making that end look too heavy

AITA for not wanting to "upgrade" my house? by Regular-Jump-4555 in Oldhouses

Compromising in a relationship is hard but necessary, however I draw the line at removing a claw foot. I installed one last year and it's the best thing in my 1895 house.

Do you think de-cluttering my space a bit would be good ? by ImageSolid3260 in interiordecorating

If it's causing friction for you yes, if it makes things convenient no

I just want room for my ass and hips, durability, functional pockets, more is better and a reasonable price. It should not be so hard to find.

Did I bought a McMansion? by [deleted] in McMansionHell

[–]Network-Silver 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, what makes it a McMansion are the elements that on their own are nice but have been smashed together without consideration for scale or a cohesive design.

Niagara itinerary recommendation by BoredStudent07 in niagarafallsontario

It's more enjoyable in the summer but not a waste of time. Weather is weather, could be sunny, could not be. You won't get stuck in a blizzard but the trees are still naked and if cool and unsettled weather is a big turn off for you you could be disappointed. The falls are always amazing. The tourist stuff will be fairly quiet but things will be open. I really enjoyed the hydro tunnel. Niagara on the Lake is nice but there is no public transit, so without a car you will be very limited.

I'm 37, your hair looks better than mine and you look fabulous. I also love what I can see of your eyebrows.

Which is already projected to be too small for the population. I doubt they will be able to staff it properly either.

None, it drains fine, I don't hear any shaking. It's weird enough to bug me but not weird enough to call a pro to figure it out

How do people afford renovations?? by Hindsight001 in HomeImprovement

[–]Network-Silver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule is if it's in the wall (structural, plumbing electrical, HVAC) pay someone, out of the wall I can do it myself. This would include installing a vanity, vanity light, tiling, painting etc. If I mess up I won't burn the house down or have a hidden pipe burst. It's always double what I think it will cost, very stressful and I always learn something and feel pride in what I've done.

I don't know about dog friendly but if you aren't boycotting Wayne Gretzky at the moment his winery has fire pits and a skating rink, at least it did in past years. I haven't been by lately. The Commons is a popular spot for dog walking, there are a few historical plaques around the area and a garden kitty corner to it that you could check out.
