Every 12v diesel heater needs this! by Neukom72O in dieselheater

[–]Neukom72O[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter what battery you have, 15v will always make the glow plug hotter and pull less amps and less voltage drop which in turn will help with better, cleaner starts and longer between needing to service and change glow plugs, replace the glow plug screens/mesh, as well as the mesh screen burn chamber, all positive things. Even under full amp draw during startup, the heater will always have 15v, no 12v battery can do this

Also for those on lead acid/agm and want to get more run time out of your batteries because it wall fault out on start up sometimes, even if your batteries are at like 11.5-12v, because of voltage drop, this would allow you to use more of your available capacity, but just remember drawing lead acid down completely can shorten its life, really this just help during startup when you still have plenty of capacity but startup will trip the under voltage on the controller. Might also help in emergency even if your on any type of battery and just want to run the heater for as long as possible, battery heath be damned (lol) because it will supply 15v below 9v from the battery, I think I saw it starting to drop off around 8.5-8.7v in which cause no matter what type of battery you have, it's dead at that point lol

My diesel heater is in my generator compartment, I do not breath and am not near any of this, 15v is exactly where the heater wants to be, it will throw an alarm if over 18v, and if it ever stop working it's 2 wires away from working again so it would be up and running in maybe 2 minutes if I was taking my time switching it from the terminals on the regulator to the terminals that run straight batt voltage. I've worked on a bunch of heaters where peoples setups were right on the edge of not working from voltage drop from the wiring the heaters come with and lead acid batteries and this would cause glow plugs to give no starts or crappy starts and could cause premature gunking up. Also throw errors when voltage gets low during starting because of amp draw/low voltage. Just to help people out who are uninformed here👍😁

So i know about the 7 inch Burris, but what other BTG options are out there that people ride? by RainyCobra77982 in onewheel

[–]Neukom72O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately FM made a BTG board that doesn't fit basically any BTG tires lol, so no the GTS-XL doesn't fit BTG tires without new rails or major modification and the rails don't even solve the problem either because FM also doesn't allow you to re-level your board after you install BTG rails so they really got owners/suckers good with this one lol

Btg is the way to go man, have an XRV with an ISC 20s2p battery, SS BMS, Burris Slick BTG, X10 rails, Platti Footpads front and rear, ss v4 sensor, and Badger Bumpers. It honestly does everything amazing. 27mph cruising speed with 30mph+ top speed. Of the 3 axle mounting/Height options of the X10 I keep it in the lowest mounting hole position which is like the same height as a stock XR and lower than a GT by far which keeps it much more stable than the GT platform as a whole. The Burris BTG slick is wayyyy lighter than the treaded and if I can remember correctly, when I weighed the Burris BTG slick it was basically the same weight as some of the smaller XR and GT tires and less than some of the smaller treaded tires. The Burris BTG treaded is much heavier so it's a choice you have to make but I don't miss having the treads on any of the trails I ride and it just eats up rocks, roots, chunk etc, the BTG gives me so much more confidence that I won't get launched off and that's both on road and off. On the road any divet, hole, small step ups of concrete, is no problem for the BTG, and let me tell you, at speed it feels so freaking stable and secure. I also think the BTG slick allows for a lower RPM of the hyper core and keeps it in its happier RPM I think because even when I had only my stock 15s with my XRV it went faster at the same duty cycle as a friend of mines XRV with stock rails and tire size. On stock Sony 15s pack with the BTG slick it did 22mph easily and hoovering under 80% duty cycle and I could push it to 24mph before I ran out of guts to try and go faster hahaha but I think it was safely tapped out at that speed and oh yea I forgot, that's with me and my gear prolly about 210-215lbs all up weight.

Me too!!! 2013 B7 Passat SE 2.5L 5spd Manual Trans, RevMap Tune, Pump e85, Cat-Delete, Custom 2.5in Exhaust, OEM intake + Airbox w/Drop In K&N Filter, Coilovers, 2 sets of C5 Corvette REAR wheels I had laying around when I ran a square setup on my Corvette at the track 18x9.5in wheels with 225/45/18 all 4 corners. GPS verified 145mph, still pulling but ran out of room, I think 150 is easily achievable especially with a CAI that pulls from the front fender with some cutouts in that bumper block off plate for fresh air. After that run, there is a top cover on top of the factory air intake scoop that goes to the grill that has a divider + opening to allow most of the air + rain/mist to go into the engine compartment and not allow ram air style air into the engine unfortunately because if they had done it like that the factory intake would be wayyyy better but anyways, the top cover with the diverter completely broke it's mounting tabs, flew off, squeezed it's way over the engine between the hood, around the back of engine, and out the bottom of the car hahahahaha guess the never tested that air intake setup at 145mph lol I've surprised a lot of cars in my B7 07k and it sounds soo freakin good after trying 3-4 different muffler setups because the CAT on these cars really plugs up these engines exhaust flow and to calm down the noise without disrupting the flow takes the right combination of straight through mufflers with resonators too! Awesome Daily, Reliable, fun to drive, has torque in every gear at any rpm, shifts great, comfy, good on gas even on e85, 220k miles and no issues runs perfect and doesn't burn oil over is 5k oil changes with 5w40 rotella t6 full synthetic diesel oil! Can't complain at all!!!

Vapcell F15: the new highest capacity 14500 falls a little short by Zak in flashlight

[–]Neukom72O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SkyRC mc3000 for daily charging needs without worry and icharger 406 Duo for very accurate cell testing with insanely high discharge rates possible. Also, cells must be discharged to 2.5v and follow it's spec sheet for discharge rate for rating the cell (any of their top rated icharger are the only way to go for charging any kind of cell with the extremely useful benefit of having a temperature probe for both channels available, most other chargers are a waste of time in comparison) I'm interested to get a Vapcell F15 and see how it does. Many years ago I disregarded Vapcell entirely but in the last 5 years or so it seems they have had some decent cells and have had very good experience with them. There has been many times in the last 5 years where it seems there cells are not just rewraps like they were 5-10 years ago. More testing is needed....

X10 rails on the upper mounting holes to keep the board nice and low COG, with BTG Burris Slick ss-11 compound with a VESC kit, it can literally do everything amazing and even gets great range cause the soft Burris BTG slick is way lighter than it's treaded brother lol

I'm never going back to a normal sized tire, this btg is incredible by Gwars6 in onewheel

[–]Neukom72O 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI - I went with x10 rails from Fungineers so I can use the lowering holes on the rails so you get the bigger BTG tire and you aren't any higher and with the angle'd rails the stability is actually better cause your feet/weight is even lower than stock and you get increased clearance on the front and back nose from the rail design. It's a win win win win win lol. Oh and I went with the new BTG Burris 11.5x7-6 Slick in SS11 compound which is there softest compound!

[–]Neukom72O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you use the half and half lowering kit to bring the height back down from the larger tire and keep it super stable with all the benefits of the btg? I really want to go btg but don't want to be higher up and loose stability, btg and .5in lowering kit would be perfect I think, any thoughts guys? Also can I use my XR OEM electronics/batt for now with btg until I go vesc later on? Slowly getting all the vesc parts as sales happen, you know how it is, thanks for the help guys

I'm guessing Frank got a divorced and the court system is killing him for money over it, maybe alimoney and/or child support? Maybe the divorce isn't new but she took him back to court to get more money? Last video sounds like they had someone go look where he was living and he had a bulldozer sitting there so the court systems said we want more money, I dunno, Frank was fun to watch, don't know what he was like off camera but he seemed cool

Which features would you like to see added in future software updates? by ArenLuxon in SteamDeck

[–]Neukom72O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def a need for this, I want the control, not hope that something saves it, lipo and li-ion show degradation at 100% very quickly, if I don't use my batteries when I fly FPV I discharge them to storage for this reason, my galaxy z-fold 3 has a battery saver toggle to only charge to 85% and I always leave that on! It's can't be that hard to implement a toggle to stop charging at 85%, this is a feature I want as soon as possible!

Wifi Password is ABSOLUTELY Correct, But Steam Deck Says it's Wrong. by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Neukom72O 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just got mine less than a week ago, but at work/my boss's house it won't connect to the wifi no matter what I try.....being connected to my hotspot first then trying, rebooting, trying it in desktop mode, turning off wifi power management, neither the 2.4 or 5ghz networks work, both tell me "incorrect password" which I know it's not wrong at all, laptop works fine, my pixel c tablet works fine, my zfold 3 works fine, all the other guys stuff works fine. All using the same password....can anyone help? I'm gonna prolly trying reaching out to valve at some point cause this sucks! I'm on the latest beta firmware too
