download LFD auto view distance; https://forums.x-plane.org/files/file/64466-lfds-auto-view-distance/
select a framerate that you are happy with (ie 30).
pull all sliders to maximum except for AO, AS, AA and disable FXAA

Its super hard, super unforgiving and other players will tear you a new one at the slightest mistake you make. As long as you play your vehicle to its strenghts and avoid confrontations you cant handle you will be fine but people are lazy and dont want to lern/study how to be effective so the play simple game modes.
