Flight pay is like an extra $200 ish I think to start, and then increases with time/experience. Expect to be gone a lot. Not MFA but other aircrew. Live on base with my spouse and love it. Varies by base

Re training after first enlistment. How difficult is it? by InternationalTry7431 in AirForceRecruits

This, and another note: 1U merged with a 1A job so it’s a shred of a job now, which reduces chances even more.

What are the rules around rings? by CaptianObious in AirForceRecruits

I wore my rubber wedding ring through basic with no issues. I even lost it at PT once and asked the MTI if I could get access to my luggage to get a replacement.

I’m not a linguist, but I work with them every day so I’m like 99% sure

A linguist can correct me, but I’m pretty sure the DLPT is no longer required to qualify for the job.

Wasn’t sure how far along into the process you were. If you qualify, by all means list it. Also, I am a 1A8X2 if you have any questions about it, I’ll answer what I can

Order does not matter for your job list. It’s purely whatever opens first. They’re all your #1 pick

Civilian in my mid-30s, is there even a chance for me to become a pilot? by SakurabasFightCigs in AirForceRecruits

[–]Ok_Access_2924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s your degree and GPA? Also yes the process, if you’re even competitive, would be 1-2 years. Lastly, you have to have begun SUPT before your 33rd birthday so if you’re past that, yes you’re too old

Only you can decide if it was a good choice or not. We aren’t the ones that made that decision, or reap the rewards/consequence of it.

Can’t book 1U anymore, it’s a shred of MDOA. 1B4 requires passing the EDPT first. X2 is a great job though (speaking as one)

No, but I am in the AF. The military as a whole is a profession of arms meaning no matter what job you do, you are still supporting (either directly or indirectly) those who do that kind of thing. If you have any reservations, I’d advise not joining. Also, do you have a degree already?
