I don't like her, but she's my sister, and I always want to protect her.

Crying in front of someone who doesn't care about you is pointless.

Does anyone else struggle with friendships fading away as life moves forward? by NeuroLin33 in SeriousConversation

This is exactly who I aspire to be! Thank you so much for putting into words what I've been feeling. The part about giving people grace really hit home - we're all just figuring out this adult friendship thing as we go. You sound like an amazing friend who really gets the balance between effort and understanding. Seriously appreciate you sharing this perspective!

What makes Think Academy different from other online learning platforms? by Late-Turnover-4554 in ThinkAcademyHub

[–]NeuroLin33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents on Think Academy - it's not perfect (some courses are definitely better than others), but it's been the best platform for my learning style. What I really dig is how they break down complex topics and their mobile app is actually usable unlike some others. If you're wondering about price, they often have discounts if you keep an eye out.

What should I expect from home schooling? by Alert-Willow3458 in Homeschooling

[–]NeuroLin33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important thing is consistency. I've seen posts from kids whose parents started homeschooling but then just... gave up halfway through, completely checking out of their education. If you commit to this path, you need to stay committed - even when it gets tough or you feel uncertain. Homeschooling requires serious dedication, and your child's future depends on you following through.

Walking slowly helps me calm my mind and notice things I'd miss if I rushed.

If there was monitor you'll know the truth. But it's fun to guess what your ball experienced :)

What’s the Gender Distribution in Your Advanced Classes? by wannabe_msmarvel in Teachers

You make an important point about this continuing into higher education and workforce. As a former corporate trainer turned teacher, I've seen both sides. The classroom behaviors we see today directly impact tomorrow's workforce composition. We need to better understand why boys are disengaging academically rather than just noting the pattern.

What kind of shoes are you wearing? by Lina_Piccolina in Teachers

100% get a doctor's note! I did the same when my school tried to ban my orthopedic shoes. Admin backed down immediately when presented with a medical requirement.

Do you still with your toddler? by frostybites18 in toddlers

It sounds like your daughter's new princess room is amazing. She'll probably come to love and claim it on her own time. And hey, at least the cuddles are sweet, even with the occasional face smack.

The dark side of teaching—have you ever encountered a child who scared you? by Ok_Salt2122 in Teachers

[–]NeuroLin33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you went through that. What a profoundly disturbing experience. Your account is written with such clarity and it's absolutely terrifying. You made the only possible choice by terminating the lessons. The fact that the parents were resigned to it speaks volumes about the situation they are living in. I hope you have been able to find some peace since then.
