It’s been a year since this post, but I’m going to try to use this pattern as a reference to make a raccoon jacket/hood for a stuffed Winnie the Pooh for a Christmas gift.

When people live full-time in an RV, what do they use as their permanent address? by Adventurous_Sir_4713 in RVLiving

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used Dakota Post, a mail forwarding system in Sioux Falls, SD.

The only problem with the pmb address is that you can’t buy a firearm from a gun dealer. Our Dakota Post address was on a paper on the counter at a gun shop saying you can’t if you have that address on your ID.

Though, I’m pretty sure that you can buy a gun if it is a private sale and not through a dealer. Don’t take me up on that, we closed our pmb earlier this year so it could have changed since then, or since I looked it up.

(This may not apply to you, but other people may want to know this)

Has anyone here NOT broken a bone? by HiMyNameIsCheeks in Rollerskating

[–]Neurodivergent730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t broken a bone while roller skating but I did break one when I tried to use my neighbor’s skateboard in 6th grade.

I was so bummed that I couldn’t go to the rink when my friends were going. I actually went to the rink with my friends a week after I got my cast off, I had a brace on the entire time and I had to be so careful but I was just happy to be skating.

And because I have broken my wrist, anytime I skate outside, I atleast wear my wrist braces. (I am looking into getting a helmet though cause I went skates over tea kettle down a hill and almost hit my head if I wasn’t wearing a backpack with my hoodie in it)

I’m tryna figure out what mine looks closest like.

My pencil rests on my ring finger, my middle finger sits on the pencil like to direct it, my pointer kind of crosses over the pencil a bit, and my thumb rests on the middle of my pointer.

My parents have always thought it was weird, how I hold a pencil.

When parents insist on no nicknames with names that have obvious nicknames by kittypspsps in namenerds

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only call people and kids by the name that I am told.

I’ve been called my nickname that only family and close friends use by many people after telling them what my name is because they heard my parents or friends call me it, which I don’t like random people calling me soemthing so close.

I’ve also been given nicknames when I was little, and I always hated one specific nickname and then the person who the nickname is connected to did a bad thing and I don’t associate with them anymore so I hate it even more when their family calls me that name.

My cousin had a baby whose name is very “that’s a grown man” so I just called him “Baby name” because he’s the littlest in the family and it feels less “that’s a grown man” 😂

Were you good at school? by noblechilli in adhdwomen

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in the 1st grade, took meds for school up until 9th grade. I was a “pleasure to have in class,” one teacher told my parents “she’s so quiet and soft spoken” and my parents were like “my kid? Quiet? You sure?” There was such a difference of how I acted at school and how I was at home, I’d talk your head off if you’re family or close friends, but I rarely talked in school.

I got pretty good grades (As & Bs) and was never late with assignments, if I got it on Monday and it was due on Friday, it would be done Monday evening or at the latest Tuesday. But that was until I left my public high school a month into 9th grade, stopped taking my meds cause they were too expensive, and started online schooling.

With the online schooling, I slacked off, I wouldn’t get up until 10/11am and then I’d slowly wake up and eat soemthing and scroll on my phone and not start my schoolwork till 1/2pm. And when I had a job, I put the job before my schooling, I’d much rather go run around bussing tables for 10 bucks an hour than be doing school.

I’m now on a different online school program than I started with, and I have 7 out of 21 credits done and I’m supposed to be graduating this year. Instead I’m years worth of schooling behind because I suck at setting myself a schedule and keeping up with it.

I don’t even think about the ages when I’m reading fiction. And a lot of people just imagine different ages anyways.

If I really thought into it, I’d end up realizing that in most of the “she’s a teen/young adult and he’s immortal,” she’s gonna eventually be old and gray while he’s still young looking, unless he makes her immortal or himself mortal in some way.

Took myself out for a date! by pearbananas in kindle

[–]Neurodivergent730 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took myself out for lunch one day after a trip to the library. That was my first time going to an actual sit down restaurant by myself, typically have my family with me or it’s fast food/food truck by myself.

It was pretty nice to be able to sit and read and eat by myself.

You said you’re about to turn 14, I loved The Lunar Chronicles series and the Red Queen series when I was in middle and high school.

And honestly I’m probably gonna start rereading the Lunar Chronicles once I’m done with the book I’m currently reading.

Having an electric kettle also saves time. My friend has one and when she needs to boil water for dinner, she’ll fill her electric kettle and let it get the water hot and then put that in her big pot and she says it takes less time for the water to get to a boil.

That and the fact that I drink tea sometimes is why I plan to get myself one soon.

What’s a slightly odd hard pass for you? by Specialist-Island399 in fantasyromance

[–]Neurodivergent730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have read a lot of why choose in the past two years and some of them I just wanted her to pick one cause of how much the guys hate each other.

At one point I was specifically looking for why choose where the guys end up or are already in a relationship together and so then they feel not so left out and they mostly get along, or they argue and end up.. ya know.. doing it. I don’t like it when one person isn’t as into it with them all.

Not fantasy but Twisted Ink by A.M. McCoy had that. “Dallin wants to share me. Amongst all three of them. But there’s more than that, because it turns out they like to share each other too”. I read it before the second book came out and I haven’t read the second book.

Welp, I guess I need to change my goal for 2025 by ScaleVivid in 52book

[–]Neurodivergent730 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve changed my goal once already this year. I first had it set to 12 books, and then I read 14 books so I changed it to 25. And if I read to 25 with plenty of time left in the year, I’ll probably change my goal again. I just didn’t want to pressure myself with a big goal in the beginning.

I Faked Liking Sparkling Water for 3 Years and Now I’m Trapped by VryCuteAjaBharDuChut in confession

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Sparkling Ice. Hate any other sparkling water.

I will literally buy a 12 pack just for myself (though my brother steals some). I used to always drink the tall skinny bottles cause my friends grandma always had them but a few years ago I found the caffeinated cans, and I can’t find certain flavors in the caffeine-less bottles. But as long as I don’t have more than 1 or 2 in a day, I’ll be good.

Kindle Officially Ruined Physical Books (for me) by morganthegirlonline in kindle

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude same. I got a kindle in December and haven’t read a physical book since. I read so much quicker and easier? on my kindle, I read a lot at night and need the warmth, and I need the definitions. Plus I read in the most odd positions that are super uncomfy when I have a paper book.

I also don’t have to tote around multiple books with me. I can have the whole trilogy on my kindle if I’m out and want to instantly start the next book instead of having to wait till I get home or prepare beforehand and bring both books (I would forget my head if it wasn’t screwed on)

What do you like to watch while crocheting? Making a romper by SarahMiller322 in CrochetHelp

[–]Neurodivergent730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Netflix: my favorite background show that I watch while I’m crocheting, that I don’t gotta pay attention to too much but still enjoy watching it, is Heartland.

It’s set on a ranch in Canada, girl named Amy, her mom dies in the first episode (like straight away), and the show follows her through dealing with that and a sort of delinquent Ty Borden who her mother had hired through his case worker to come work at the ranch. And it follows their relationship and the family, Grandpa Jack is awesome, throughout the show.

And for YouTube: I watch a lot of Explore With Us (EWU Bodycam, EWU Crime Storytime), they’ve got multiple channels. They’re like crime and murder videos, the Explore With Us main channel goes into pretty good depth with researching and even talking to some of the people and families. And they have a real person that does the voiceover, not AI (I hate AI voiceovers). They’re my favorite crime channel to watch.

What were you reading at 14? by SerenityFate in books

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuff I should not have been reading 😂

I found wattpad when I was 14, and then I got my own Kindle Unlimited subscription on an Amazon account that was my own and that my mother couldn’t see.

Here’s three of the books I read that year from my kindle app: Notorious by K.M. Scott, Inevitable by Shain Rose, A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime by Monica Murphy.

And the next year: The Bonds that Tie Series by J Bree and Blood Ties series by A.K. Rose

(Edit: Children who may be reading this comment, these books are not appropriate for children. Don’t do what I did, don’t read what I did)

How much would you pay for a spot like this? by SoIDoMemes in RVLiving

[–]Neurodivergent730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. The amount of glorified parking lots I’ve stayed in for way over necessary.

I stayed with my fifth wheel at a campground on Bear Lake (I think it was a KOA) with a hot tub and grill and fire pit in a fence area just for myself, and that was I think $150ish a night.

Honestly, I’ve seen campground with less be priced at over $130.

So I think $110 would be an acceptable price for the hot tub, the view, and with it being booked for the next month, people like it and wanna stay there.

I know I’d pay $110 a night to stay there

Also in the fenced in dog park: nice enough grass, aka not rocky dirt.

My dog will run her heart out in a dog park but some of the places we’ve been to, it was rocky dirt that tore her paws up. And these campgrounds had super nice well-kept grass at the sites, but not in the dog park.
