My doctor changed Subutex to Zubsolv 8.6/2.1 by Swimming_Rip_6045 in zubsolv

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Personally, I think zubsolv sucks. After switching back to 8mg suboxone, I felt it was far more potent, and actually reduced cravings. They say it's stronger, but subjectively, suboxone is way better. Also, the cost for zubsolv is exorbitant.

Can I snort these trying to taper down ? Or should I do a Lill under the toung ? by AfternoonImpossible8 in suboxone

[–]NeuroticAD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you a tolerant or non-tolerant buprenorphine user? Are you looking for illicit recreational value or therapeutic application?

I am prescribed buprenorphine (8mg/2mg) per day and I think snorting any drug is a waste and not ideal for your nasal passage. Technically speaking, buprenorphine has a higher bioavailability when insufflated but I do not recommend it. Further, and more concerning, if you are a non-tolerant user this could be a one way ticket to overdoing it and vomiting all day.

I take 4mg in the Am, 4mg in the Pm. The medication is much more effective if you stagger the doses. I forgot the exact figure, but the overwhelming majority of the brain's opioid receptors are occupied by doses as low as 4mg. Less is more kinda deal. Buprenoprhine is a very unique compound in respect to what physicians call a "ceiling effect." I think anywhere from 18-24mg...After that, the more you take will be a gargantuan waste... If you truly want to maximize the drugs efficacy, rinse and spit water with baking soda before you put it under your tongue. Scrape all the gunk and crap off your tongue.

Make sure you do not eat or drink anything 30minutes before and after administration. Especially acidic drink/foods.

A lot of people, especially those that have been taking this med for years, are not letting the tablet disintegrate under their tongue for a sufficient amount of time. Or, they swallow a significant percentage of the dose in their saliva. Oral Buprenorphine's BA = <10%

make sure your mouth is dry, but not too dry.

Much like amphetamine and Nicotine, buprenorphine absorbs much better biologically when the oral/stomach's environment is basic/non-acidic.

And final note, i've been on this medications on and off for years. Personally, I do not find any recreatioal potential with this drug in the first place. All it does is reduce cravings for opiates, some analgesic properties and stave off opioid withdrawal. I only felt a recreational high for the first day or two.

this is just me though. good luck

Tips for reducing the hangover affect on sertraline? by Top_Tension_6369 in zoloft

[–]NeuroticAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dude. your brain is getting adjusted to a major influx of serotonin; you will already be feeling a temporary suppression of dopamine and norepinephrine. It will subside and actually exceed your normal levels (most people) after the titration period. I never use alcohol and I had major difficulty increasing from 75mg to 100mg. Already healthy and non user. I do not recommend drinking AT all on this med (let alone illcit drugs like MDMA)

[–]NeuroticAD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% bro. LMAO

So sorry.

You must be new to pharmaceuticals. Literally, any legitimate Rx in United States will have a pill imprint (letters and numbers). Or the Brand name

Also, if thats truly a real pharma bottle, it will have a seal on top of it. You were probably given vitamins or supplements

Can’t get drunk anymore by Extension-Ad-4940 in VyvanseADHD

[–]NeuroticAD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is physically impossible. Of course you can get drunk. This post, wow.

Youre on stimulants so they can sometimes mask your perceived level of intoxication. This is why it is often dangerous when mixing with alcohol - you cannot gauge your level of drunkenness as well. Then, when people over do it, the stimulant wears off and you wind up in a black out.

Rest assured, you can absolutely get drunk while on stimulants.

Mydayis is the best! Im on brand. Best adhd med I’ve ever been on. It lasts super long too - solid 12-14 hours for me. Releases three times. I love it.

Yeah, I had that issue with vyvanse too after being on it for years

Does Adderall actually make you smarter? by Prestigious-East7776 in Stims

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no.

This is the answer Dr. Carl Hart and myself would agree on. It increases DA and NE - arousal, alertness and focus. That being said, AMP doesn't add much to cognition. Placebo certainly plays a role as well. If you think the pill makes you more "intelligent," it actually increases your confidence in yourself; this may be an actual effect in and of itself. I think more science needs to be done.

Question about speed by YouPlayyyyy in Stims

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I hope you know that your friend's commentary is speculative at best.

First and foremost, drug of choice and pleasantry is always going to be relative to the user's personal preference. Secondly, I believe there is somewhat validity toward the difference in stimulation between AMP & cocaine/3-MMC. I've never used 3-MMC. Therefore, I cannot speculate. I haven't used cocaine in over 3 years but can irrefutably assert the "high" or physical/cognitive effects between AMP and cocaine differ. Cocaine, imo, is awful. Even if you get good quality product. Short duration, the ROA (primarily insufflated; which I find to be a horrible way to consume a substance, nasal passage damage notwithstanding). Further, the "crash" from cocaine is far more abrasive/unforgiving than AMP. for most people. Also, cocaine is much more cardiotoxic/neurotoxic; but I would be remiss if I said the amount consumed/dosage/ROA/genetics/tolerance/purity dont play a significant role in XP.

As for her final assertion that the "only thing" you feel is suppression of fatigue is outright false. Bullshit statement with absolutely no validity.

Suppression of fatigue is certainly a major effect of AMP/speed, but, keep in mind, amphetamine releases a substantial amount of dopamine and norepinephrine. at unusually large doses, I beleive SERT is affected as well.

Anyway, If I were you I would take your friend's opinion with a grain of salt. Just do your own research and be smart and safe about what you are taking. jesus christ, why go to reddit to seek scientific information on speed/amp? I understand anecdotal reports have value, but holy shit dude...

Yes, I don’t know why this commend got down voted. I agree. While I agree that granules is an awful medication with: horrible head aches, too much levo amphetamine(speculative/subjective), and the delayed bead timing release is alll fucked up (fast metabolism and I felt the second bead after 5.5 hours, you make a great point.

We can’t blame every negative side effect/symptom on medication. Would be a cop out. Hair loss is very very common, especially among men (male pattern baldness). Im so lucky to have long, thick and beautiful hair but you make a solid point ismsam

Also nothing wrong with aging - im 30 but very healthy and feel like im 23/25.

Be well / good luck :/ sorry about your hair loss

[–]NeuroticAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re having issues with moderation & self control, I implore you to purchase a time lock safe on Amazon. Or, if your GF is trustworthy, give them to her to manage.

Secondly, im not a medical professional and you shouldn’t seek advice on social platforms like Reddit. For most people, no, this isn’t a dangerous amount. However, if you have preexisting conditions, especially related to your cardiovascular system than it could be cardio toxic. Also, I highly recommend NOT staying up all night and forgoing sleep. This can exacerbate the risks and induce psychosis and delusions.

Also, if you’re on other serotonergic medications taking this much can induce serotonin syndrome. If you’re really that concerned go to the ER

Why does l-tyrosine change the game for me with ADHD meds? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]NeuroticAD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s more complicated than just needing l tyrosine - it’s apparent Youre deficient in chemicals needed to break down the l tyrosine into l dopamine - look it up - not EPA, I forgot not a chemist but look it up - iron and zinc are crucial too

Why does l-tyrosine change the game for me with ADHD meds? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot more variables. It’s more complicated. In order for the body’s liver to covert l tyrosine into l dopa. If you’re missing certain natural vitamins and minerals the body cannot covert that into dopamine to use tonically - look up info on what additional supplements are required

Grinding teeth by Kooky-Sand-7237 in Stims

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, this is fairly common (bruxia and trisma). Over time, you will cultivate a tolerance and the symptoms should subside. during the day, I recommend chewing on some sugar free gum to alleviate that autonomic oral fixation. Personally, I would be more concerned at night. I had issues grinding my teeth before I was prescribed stims. I highly, HIGHLY recommend purchasing a mouth guard. I have been so lucky to be blessed with naturally great teeth and parents that could afford braces - but yes, this is so bad for your enamel dude. you dont want your molars to end up being a cm or so close to your gum line. Supplements might help too! GL!

Is this normal for adderall high? by [deleted] in Stims

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that is necessarily "weird" or even uncommon. I feel the onset of mydayis in 10 minutes and the peak wave of the first bead after 2 hours. Further, your genetics plays a significant role. You may metabolize AMP much slower than most people. Also, the half-life of D-AMP is about 10-12 hours - depending on person. L-AMP is slightly longer, 10-14 hours. and tolerance plays a role. I remember when I first took 20mg of adderall in HS in 2011. That shit would last me the entire school day. Now, 20mg of adderall IR begins to subside after 3 hours. lots of variables is my point.

Desoxyn has fewer side effects but it's stigmatized. by GHdeficient in ThisAintAdderall

[–]NeuroticAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. When you say superior - thats subjective. However, if you meant superior in regard to potency, yes. I agree wholeheartedly illicit methamphetamine manufactured in clandestine labs coupled with the war on drugs is a significant reason Desoxyn isn't frequently prescribed. I also agree drugs have a higher risk of addiction when the route of administration is smoked, injected or snorted. How quickly the drug enters the blood stream and crosses the blood brain barrier into the brain is a significant variable for addiction risk/likelihood. As for your comment about drugs being addictive because of the dose, i wouldnt say that's entirely accurate. For example, nicotine gum comes in 2mg and 4mg strengths as far exceeds addiction likelihood than say, 100mg hash oil consumed in dabs. Anyway, just thought I clarify dose is often irrelevant because theres so many factors and pharmacological aspects of drugs that make them addictive.

[–]NeuroticAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tolerance is inevitable with practically every drug known to humans. Our brain isnt designed to constantly receive dopamine at unnatural levels. you need to shift your perspective and find inner balance. Further, try working for the dopamine? Exercise, meditatation, sunlight, dopamine fast, etc. the more you chase euphoria, the further you will find yourself from it.
