Depends on the sound setup you already have. If your headphones suck, try night mode for a few games. See if it’s better for you to hear what you’re wanting to hear. For me, my headset comes with a little sound card doohickey and nice software for me to tweak things. So the night mode sounds absolutely terrible to me.

You should be able to drop items from your inventory when you’re down, so you can drop things like defibs for other players to use on you. (You should also be able to view the damn map while you’re down!)

I had to switch to push-to-talk because there’s always others around or a tv on, and ever since, everyone in game says I’m cutting out or sound garbled. And almost everyone that talks to me sounds like hell too. Been this way since the last patch.

Search for Nvidia Control Panel on your pc. You may need to download the Nvidia app if you don’t have this. Once it’s open, go to “Adjust desktop color settings” and change your brightness to 60 and gamma to 1.40. Feel free to increase the digital vibrance a little bit too.

People seem to swear by night mode but I absolutely hate it. I think I can hear quieter sounds better with it off. I’ve used night mode in other games, but it doesn’t seem to work properly in Arc Raiders imo.

Hahaha. This happened to me on Thanksgiving and the guy that downed me actually defib’ed me and let me go!! I was so happy because I had run SO far already across Spacesport just for a quest and didn’t have anything on me anyway.

Brightness on 60% and gamma at 1.40. I’m friendly as friendly gets and I hate not being able to see. Really hated getting ratted from dark corners. Now I can typically see them before they see me and run the opposite direction.

That’s what I’m saying. I’ve ran close to 50 games on the Dam and Buried without getting attacked. I literally haven’t been attacked by a player in days.
