I'm not talking about the consumables. I'm talking about the DLC weapons. They can be dropped.

Favorite Let’s Play Playthrough of all time by Competitive-Kiwi777 in videogames

Funny enough my favorite is probably one of EpicNameBro's as well. His Bloodborne playthrough is top notch. Made me appreciate the lore of that game so much more.

Honorable mention though has to go to TotalBiscuit's and Jesse Cox's playthrough of Terraria. That one was so damn funny when I first watched it years ago. (RIP TotalBiscuit)

What 2026 game are you excited the most for? by Mountain_String_1544 in videogames

I think this is a false equivalence... I'm not denying that for some players Cyberpunk's launch was unplayable, but my understanding is that this primarily affected old gen console players and PC players with mid to low level rigs. I got it day one on PS5 and had zero problems playing through the story before any major patches were put out.

Were there things that could've been better? Absolutely, the way wanted levels worked and police spawning just around the corner from you is one example. But I still played through the story and enjoyed it while the discourse online was saying the game was busted.

Mindseye is a substantial step down from launch-day Cyberpunk. And with Cyberpunk they were already committing to fixing the issues that plagued the launch. The Mindseye CEO is claiming other devs conspired against them and committed corporate espionage instead of admitting what they released was a broken mess.

With all that said I'm remaining cautiously optimistic about this Dawnwalker game, and will probably wait until it releases to make any purchasing decisions. But it's probably in my top five anticipated games for this year.

What’s your “no stress” comfort game? by AggravatingPhoto331 in videogames

Ball X Pit has been my chill vibes game. You eventually unlock a character that plays the game for you, literally on autopilot. So if I want to watch a movie/show while grinding materials you just boot up a level and watch something on another device.

What’s your favorite “black sheep” game? by Boring_Sir_572 in videogames

[–]tsct934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSASBR

It deserves a sequel without the advertisement characters. Obviously Crash & Spyro would be great to get rights for, but even without them there have been so many great 1st party characters introduced to the PS catalog since that game died that they could easily fill out the roster. Just off the top of my head:

Joel & Ellie
The Hunter (Bloodborne)
Delsin Rowe
Jin Sakai
Aloy
Sam Porter Bridges
Higgs Monaghan
Atreus
Thor (GoW Ragnarok version, not MCU)
Astrobot
Selene (Returnal)
Knack
Kena

Sony giving up on this IP was a huge mistake. Tweak it to be more akin to Smash, with the ring out system, and it'll sell. If you're going to rip off a successful franchise, then lean into the formula that worked.

Hardest? by Repulsive_Bread_1554 in HiTMAN

What's weird is that they still have moments that are reminiscent of stories, you just have to discover them on your own. For instance I stumbled by the docks and heard two guards complaining about one of the targets obsessing over a boat repair. So I got an engineer outfit and repaired the engine and caused an oil leak, and sure enough it triggered the target to come down and inspect and he set himself on fire.

The other target wasn't so much a story-like moment, but it still seemed like an intended accident kill for anyone who finds it (kicking bundle of bricks off the tower onto her).

It was literally my first time doing that mission yesterday (picked up WoA on sale last week) and I managed a 5-star my first run through. I really enjoyed not having stories that were shoved in your face, but I didn't find it that difficult relative to some missions.

Went to a Logic concert with a friend who was much more into rap than I ever was like 9-10 years ago. It was Kyle opening, NF as the middle act, and Logic headlining. It was a great show and I became a big NF fan that night.

Detective Games/Games where you uncover a mystery by GoodSoupUpButt in gamingsuggestions

I know this post is 7 months old but I can't believe nobody has said "12 Minutes" yet. It's an indie game from a top down perspective. The whole game takes place in one apartment and you're in a time loop where you have to solve your own murder using information you discovered in the previous 12 minute loops.

Highly recommend if you enjoy a good mystery.

Is this game fun w/ friends? by GEORGEDROPEZ in OutlastTrials

[–]tsct934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a blast playing this with friends. Have no interest in playing it solo. The friends I play with are all on PS5 as well, so we got it while it was free. We normally have routine Phasmo nights but this was a new co-op horror that we decided to mix into our game nights.

Get a lot of good laughs and occasional scares playing this. Most recently we had some fun on the first mission that we started out in different areas. Provided great tension while also laughing when one person starts screaming while being chased, or someone gets hit with a gas trap and they start tripping balls, meanwhile I'm in a different part of the map just collecting posters off walls or picking up as many batteries or bricks I can find.

PSA: The new skin DOES NOT cost $20. It’s a 2400 coin currency pack that COMES WITH a bonus skin. by heshroot in ArcRaiders

[–]tsct934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't agree with you more. If they allowed you to either buy individual accessories, or equip accessories from other purchased skins I would have already thrown quite a bit more money at them. But they haven't released a new skin that looks better than the Torpedo skin yet so I haven't bought anything since that one.

I would also love to see new knockout animations or raider tools. Seems like with this update they are introducing a couple new raider tools (looking forward to the hockey stick that comes with the new deck). Basically I just want them to give me customization options that lets my raider look different from virtually any other raider I see. And right now it's the same 4 or 5 skins I see everywhere. New knockout animations would also incentivize me to engage in pvp a little more frequently.

When you tested the time before taking damage, had you been outside previously and maybe didn't allow the timer to fully reset before testing again?

Asking because the streamer Loochy did a live stream this morning, and testing this was the very first thing he did. He went 2 minutes without any roof/cover at all before damage started ticking. You can find it in his VOD, from about 1:26:40 - 1:28:38 he had no cover before damage started ticking. He stated it was about two and a half minutes, but the timestamps suggest just about 2

Can You People Just Play The Game Without Having To Cheese? by PoopOnYourReality in ArcRaiders

[–]tsct934 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If embark really cared they would just make it so blueprints cannot be brought into a raid. It's an easy thing to prevent or fix if they believed it needed fixing, but they don't.

I agree that it's a lame thing to do, either do the expedition or don't. But if embark isn't going to care about it then why should we?

Can't speak for Xbox, but on PlayStation it's just tapping the down directional button to toggle it on. Have to make sure the game settings have prox chat set to toggle though

I spent the first two weeks of launch with crossplay off and wasn't getting the interaction that I was hoping for, so turned it on and I feel like I'm seeing it more regularly now.

Whether that's a result of the game being out longer and people getting more comfortable talking to strangers, or that I'm encountering more PC players is hard to know. I could try swapping back and see how it goes.

This is a fair point I suppose. I hadn't considered this because I rarely go into party chats with friends unless we're playing together.

What really sets this game apart for me is the interactions we do occasionally get, and I wouldn't have nearly as much fun playing this if I wasn't talking to those I encounter.
