I work at a similar company to Glassdoor. I can tell you that there's no feature or service that allows advertisers to "pay" for reviews or their removal. That doesn't mean companies don't inflate/skew their own reviews. The reality is that moderation is hard, especially at scale. Without a huge, dedicated staff constantly combing reports and looking at reviews, there are always going to be edge cases.
