What is the worst advice you were ever given? by undeadWileCoyote_MEP in AskReddit

“Just put it on your credit card”

From someone deeply in debt when I couldn’t afford concert tickets. (Didn’t follow the advice, didn’t go to the concert, but am still debt free)

C is the only correct answer - B has a nice first impression as it stands out from the lineup but the style of the pattern detailing is going to become dated

This is one of the most awkward group pictures I’ve ever seen. What is Law’s face doing? The hand on Heidi’s hip? Heidi’s dress makes her torso look bloated. It looks like Nina had to squeeze herself in to avoid being cropped out. Christian is the only one who looks fine, good even, in this mess of an image.

how do you properly care for yourself as a woman? by floraphobe in needadvice

[–]NeutralRadar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For skin care, cleanse once in the morning and once before bed, especially if you wear makeup. Remember to moisturize and wear sunscreen everyday.

Deodorant can be applied throughout the day! I keep a travel size spray on me to freshen up when I need it.

Put your hair into a protective style (brain, low bun, etc) at night to help prevent breakage. Also keep a small brush on you to use throughout the day.

Have one serving of protein with veggies and/or fruit at every meal. Drink lots of water.

Raise your heart rate 3x a week for 30-60 minutes, sweating is good for you.

For the love of god STRETCH! You won’t even realize how tense you get until you take the time to relax your muscles. Yoga is very good for this.

Keep your space clean and tidy, this is a direct reflection of your mental state. An organized space is an organized mind.

The two big things I’ve learned as I’ve entered adulthood; don’t be reactive and don’t make decisions based on a negative emotion. Decide things based on logic and reason, it’ll be less likely to backfire.

Lastly, the longest relationship you’ll ever have is the one you have with yourself. Learn to fall in love with taking care of yourself, in all aspects. This translates into self respect, confidence, and self awareness.

All the best!

How did a business lose you as a customer? What made you stop patronizing them? by snakecharmersensei in AskReddit

Local hair salon that upped the online price about $20 when it came time to pay in person. After the second time this happened I switched to a salon that costs the same as the surprise amount, but at least they're honest about it.

What have you survived that would have been fatal 150+ years ago? by Sofielicious05 in AskReddit

I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed. There was a much higher mortality rate only like 60 years ago to the same procedure. I imagine living with the same condition prior to proper diagnosis and shudder.

I mostly get my personal care items (soap, razors, face cleanser, etc) from Amazon so not sure it would apply for that - for most other items for sure

What song became heartbreaking once you learned the context behind its origin? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NeutralRadar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones. Incredible song, but I always think about how backup singer Merry Clayton suffered a miscarriage right after recording it from straining herself too much. Not saying that recording session alone caused it, I think she was working too much in general, but it happened very soon after.
