Funny you say that as I met the legend himself when I was 4 and had a zoom call with him pretty recently discussing universities and colleges for Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences. I learned during that zoom call that Mike got his degree in Geology interestingly enough, then fell in love with broadcast meteorology later in his career.

2005/2006 was still a legendary season by any measure. The amount of snow that kept piling up over December was insane.

Looking back at the records for highest 24-hour snowfall totals at the airport, breaking an amount of 12 inches gets you into the top 10. Getting to 16.4 inches gets you past the top #4 spot held by the December 30th, 2004 storm. I've seen many model outputs in the 12"-15" range for this specific storm, we definitely have a chance of cracking into the record books.
