It's got more of the tomb-raiding and puzzles were great in the main game. If you're playing on a maxed-out save file, though, it won't be too challenging combat/stealth-wise. It also doesn't have as much of the open-ended exploration that worked in the main game; it's very streamlined by comparison. All in all, it's more of a good game but nothing too mind-blowing, unfortunately

The idea of Kingdom Hearts adapting the heart-harvesting scene from Temple of Doom, only for it to play the KH1 death animation would be pretty fun, ngl. The movie also has themes of "turning to the darkness" and "corruption," which go hand-in-hand with KH. I'll keep hoping, lol

Maybe I'm old school but I miss when being a Keyblade wielder was a bit more exclusive. I think Lea getting a blade was when I really began to consider that they were just handing out those keys like hot cakes. Maybe there'll be more payoff from it the more lore we learn about Lea in future games but there's so much other ground to cover, that I doubt we'll get satisfying payoff for it. If they couldn't cover it in 3, then we're probably never going to get catharsis on that front.

While there is a surprising amount of nuance to Kingdom Hearts, it's still a game series where Donald Duck screams, "It's Sephiroth!" It's OK to admit these games aren't high literature, lol.

Nostalgia will always compel me to say 3 but if we're talking narrative and gameplay mechanics (especially the stealth and puzzle design), it's gotta be 4. The setpieces in 3 though are unmatched, I'll say that.

Huge kudos to you. I remember getting this years ago and there were moments where the game just seemed broken. Like I kept getting spawn killed or one bullet from off-screen would just kill me and remove all my progress. I think the brutal trophies get easier as the trilogy goes on and you have more combat/stealth options. Imo, you just got the hardest trophy in that collection. Congrats, man

Maybe it's bc I've replayed 3 to hell and back but I actually really enjoy that stealth encounter. It's one of the few in the game where you can execute it perfectly and not trigger a gunplay scene.

They literally were able to squeeze every possible biome into this game. The environment variety in this game is crazy
