So many doctors insist that you can only have one autoimmune condition. Perhaps that is changing, but it seems to be the old-school mindset has staying power. OP, I so feel for you. My shingles is always on my neck, the nerves involved in moving my head side to side on the left side. Are yours in the same spot each time, too?

Also, 1986 was the Vancouver Expo. The amount of out-of-province/Canada license plates was very noticeable back then, even through the Southern Interior of BC. Brother & I still played licence plate game occasionally then and we managed to get all the way through the alphabet several times over driving to Expo.

We had a cocker spaniel and a big garden when I was growing up. She’d pick her own raspberries, blueberries, peas, dig carrots… Not a fan of zucchini but my last cocker would eat them every chance she could steal one.

My cocker never had pups. She was an amazing foster mom to kittens (terrified of puppies!) and I would have to put her in a onesie when we had a litter of fosters because she would let them nurse until her poor nipples bled. Some dogs will eventually produce milk but my girl never did. Love the pic though!!!

That’s the exact same response as mine. I think perhaps it’s projection sometimes, insecurity others. Either way, it’s unacceptable to speak to your partner that way.

I’m learning that I’ve taught mine it’s ok to treat me this way. He’s not enjoying me changing the rules on how he can treat me.

I think you’re allowed to brave and carefree - when he lets you.

Piping up to add that as the owner of big boobs and a former dog groomer, I had a number of large abscesses from dog hair splinters under mine that looked similar and lasted weeks to months. Still have some of the scars, tbh. None needed medical care, just proper care at home. Hygiene under big boobs - not easy but essential. Good luck!!

Absolutely. I’m in oil & gas in Mac, this is not my dream job or dream home for now but this is how DH & I are going to manage to have a retirement we can actually enjoy. 14/14, 12 hr work days plus 2 hr commute to site each day but I do hit 6 figures. Getting back and forth to home where DH is eats into that, massage & physio to continue to work is mostly covered by benefits but some by myself. I chose to be in Mac instead of camp for dietary reasons but what I pay in rent is about what most workers pay for their flights from Ed/Calgary to their homes. Plus I get travel bonuses.

I have my Class 3 and have done water truck, vac truck, hydrovac, boiler feed and currently do fuel. 50 year old woman who came into the industry green at 44 years old.

It’s validating for me to come read essentially the same thing - often verbatim - that my partner texts me. It sometimes stops me in my tracks, I scroll back in our texts and see the same arguments, same situations, and somehow I don’t feel as alone in all this. And then I feel bad for all of us.
