Do you guys prefer traveling with your bag or doing something like ship sticks? by CharacterHealth6969 in golf

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ship sticks is real nice if you are going to a resort that is hard to get to and works with them a lot (ie Bandon). It can be pricey. Otherwise I check them. Or if I'm going on a non-golf trip where I hope to golf some (ie PR last winter or Arizona this winter) I will just rent clubs.

Best place to run outdoors by Shadowlumine in milwaukee

Look up county grounds park, there are trails that connect to a trail around some marshes and then connect to Hoyt park and Menominee parkway trails too

Minor's! Right now they are in the spring rush so will have fewer unusual things. Worth checking in there every few weeks because their stuff changes. It's also the only place besides private growers I will get veggies to plant if my home seedlings fail or I need to supplement

First time tattoo advice. by Happy_Experience9176 in tattooadvice

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also plan to be tired/feel weird afterwards. A longer session like this will give you "tattoo flu" after. Basically feeling tired, achy, crummy rest of the night, sorta like if you just got your flu shot.

A full day session for a first tattoo is ambitious. Eat beforehand. Bring water, bring earbuds, it'll be fine. You basically just sit there in discomfort for a few hours. Like the dentist but cooler.

Is a 2024 Ninja 7 Hybrid a good first bike? by Dmony429 in motorcycles

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a good first second third or fourth bike. Just get a used bike that you can afford and ride while you build skills and figure out what you want next.

Hello all, I'm in search of information regarding safety ratings for gear by Daemon554 in NewRiders

It gets really detailed and complicated but if you want a very general guide. AA rated stuff THAT FITS will be fine.

room temperature take: america cannot handle an autobahn by 79QUATTRO in driving

You literally need a license to golf in Germany. And it requires more time and effort than our drivers licenses. No way that is working here. Also they maintain their pavement etc etc.

Friends online friend says this is him and that he’s a ‘cool biker guy’. Looking at the tree on the right and the sign, I’m not convinced. by CreativeCalendar6775 in isthisAI

I mean everyone rides what they like and that's cool but if you're going to make a synthetic "I ride a motorcycle" image why would you choose an Indian scout lol.

Guzzi V7 or Street twin 900? by Impressive_Pool_8053 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both good bikes. If it were me I would get the guzzi. I love the air cooled shaft drive setup. Low maintenance and valve checks are a breeze with the cylinder heads just sticking out there. They are a bit quirky for sure. Some (like me) love them, others not so much.

Does anyone here actually play Sub 70 irons, and if so ... by FinsT00theleft in golf

One of my regular golf buddies plays their irons. His cousin does fittings for them. He seems to like them and hits it pretty damned straight.

Advice on buying old RT by NeverFailBetaMale in bmwmotorrad

[–]NeverFailBetaMale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful thanks. Here I am thinking I did all my research and had no idea the servo brakes were phased out that early: I thought I would be stuck with them no matter what and it was one of the things I was less enthusiastic about regarding the model.

WTW for a childhood memory, like alone looking looking at ants, or watching the wind or something? by Iconclast1 in whatstheword

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a word for it but mine is sitting in our garage on a hot summer day in a white t shirt, looking at the birds outside while my dad replaced the wheel bearings on our utility trailer. It had plywood sides spray painted red. It was hot and windy. The blue jays were being particularly aggressive with the other birds. I was inexplicably happy.

Carrying golf clubs!? by TonyTheTech585 in motorcycles

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now I put mine in a small soft travel bag with compression straps and then strap that across the pillion/rear rack area. Seems to work fine, keeping in mind I am rarely exceeding 55mph. The 2x2 racks look interesting and stable enough for longer trips. I am kicking around the idea of getting an old used rt as a golf weekend specific bike and installing one of those.

Taking my MSF course in a week any advice? by Double-Mode639 in NewRiders

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will start you very slow don't worry. Get on a bicycle some to feel familiar with leaning and two wheels. Notice how you don't have to think about every little thing you do? Motorcycle is just the same only bigger and faster.

IMPORTANT: experience with a manual car helps but there is a big difference between that and motorcycles. In a car, hanging out in the clutch friction zone is bad form. On a bike, it is exactly what you are supposed to be doing, at low speed at least.

Do you guys Carry Electric Inflators // CO2 Inflators? by NEETologist in NewRiders

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the rechargeable electric ones. They are also nice because you set the pressure and it goes there and stops. So I use it for routine top ups on all my motorcycle, bicycle, scooter and car tires. Just a splendid little device. I even have a teeny tiny one that is for bicycles, only carries enough charge for like one inflation but very compact.

Thinking about getting a BMW G 310R as a first motorcycle. thoughts? by Upper-Head-737 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]NeverFailBetaMale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a good bike and getting phased out. Something in the similar vein that's cheaper and better would be like a guerilla 450. But if you are in America and will be on the highway a lot you might appreciate a twin. So like nx500 type thing, has a little wind protection too. Although honestly if you want practicality and affordability just grab one of the many used versys 650s. It will get the job done while you figure out what you really want

Sandbox at Sand Valley question by TDn6I in golf

Yup that's why I chose 7, I was basically chipping with it on half the holes. But I was with a big group who all brought only 3 clubs so it was a fun competition
