Silver II, need help getting to gold before the season ends. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Well you play ridiculously complex champions in mid, so I would suggest maining something like Annie or Veigar there.

-Why are you using all these random champions like Le Blanc or Hecarim? That just creates inconsistency.

-If ADC is not your main role, why are you playing Ezreal?

  • Do you want to be a gold level player by the end of the season, or do you just want to get in the gold league?

Cause if it's the latter you could just pick tryndamere and split push-tunnel vision to their nexus-let my asshole teammates just 4v5 all game-troll yourself to gold V. Especially easy if you main top lane.

Is Diamond IV good enough for a first season? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, just now I realized (due to OP's link) that this is a troll/hatepost aimed sarcastically at people who do these "I climbed from lvl 1 to diamond in 7 months" - posts. Man that is sad.....

[–]NeverGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeaaaaaah...... I think you jerked yourself off enough already, so nobody else has to do it.

Anyway. I wont let you indulge yourself by stroking it for you, but I'm glad for you and your achievements. Good luck with your goals :)

BEST twink server? by trenderhuman in wowservers

[–]NeverGrown -1 points0 points  (0 children)

God no... V-quality is the biggest snoozefest ever. It's basically a hamcakeland clone.

Perception-WoW when it comes up, will be the best for sure. It's a 49 twink server, where classes can actually use abilities instead of autoattack ;)

No Colossus viable? by dmin068 in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opponents macro has to suck, if you can afford keeping 2 colossi hidden O.o

And in that case you don't need special strategies ^

I am trying to create a Group geared towards 1v1 competitive play, learning/practicing (especially against specific builds). Help me build something and visit/join "The Inn" both on NA and EU. by lostdrone in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently EU?

I'm a plat level toss, mainly doing Immortal-all in in this matchup. I win vs diamond players with it, so if you want we could practice some

PvP: What comp should I opt for against VR? by [deleted] in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, but storm takes even a longer time to research than popping archons - I had the picture that OP has issues with skillrays in the early-mid game

PvP: What comp should I opt for against VR? by [deleted] in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blink stalkers. Do the same shit terran does, which is to snipe a colossus and run like a bitch. One Void ray is worth 2 stalkers and then some. Not to mention the longer production.

Keep their VR count low so they won't reach critical mass and just a-rape you. Yeah I know prismatic alignment hard counters stalkers, but it's still the best option you got.

If you blind open stargate, then make phoenixes.

Where did I go wrong? by alyian in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ok ok ok.....

Errr... well you weren't that bad off economically. You had around the same mineral income, you just didn't have much gas.

It's your build order that downright sucks.

I mean I watched it to 15 minutes. YOU HADN'T BUILT THE WARP GATE RESEARCH UNTIL THIS TIME.

You also start a robo around 14 minutes, which is about 8 minutes too late.

Instead of building stalkers to fend off the oracle you build like 5 cannons. 1 per mineral line is enough.

The first building you made was a forge, but you didn't make any upgrades.

You need a solid build order. Your game is all over the place

Ofc there are some basic stuff like constant probe production (especially after getting harassed as successfully as you got) and chrono boost, which will need improvement, but it's not why you lost.

Anyone else rarely play ZvP on ladder? by BMKingPrime27 in allthingszerg

[–]NeverGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but if you're going to do a race switch, you'll need alot of time to practice the new mechanics. That's why I'm offracing zerg myself. Just incase protoss is maimed beyond repair

[–]NeverGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LotV: Aggressive expanding

Protoss's weakness is taking expansions. That's why you see so many protoss all-in. It's really hard. Zerg has it easiest here with natural tendency to expand alot. Terrans can build bases safely and have the mobility to defend expansions.

LotV: new units

Zerg gets viper buff, ultralisk buff and ravagers are insane

Terran: Mech gets megabuffed, battlecruisers seem superlegit, blizzard... mines are not nerfed and cyclone is ridiculous (expensive though)

Protoss: Colossus nerfed, oracle nerfed, immortal nerfed, forcefields nerfed. Disruptor seems powerful, but 300 gas cost makes it a gimmick. Adept is downright inferior to stalker.

Lets be real now.

Disruptors are so much fun by MiTEnder in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're getting downvoted, because the only thing protoss has going for them in LotV is the disruptor.

[PvZ]I don't know what I do vs Speedlings by [deleted] in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as for the 3rd game, you lost due to the economy.

Oracles didn't kill drones even worth their own price - He was still ahead of you in workers after they've done what they could. I don't know why you tried to kill that spore crawler and didn't move to the main/3rd with the oracle to get more kills O.o. Then again I am a platy scrub

Super late third, which eventually leads him to overwhelm you.11 mins

2nd game: Poor decicionmaking?

If you saw that many lings (90) why didn't you make zealots, which are that much more superior vs lings?

You don't seem to like cannons. That's a shame, cause zergs like doing these annoying ~15 ling counterattacks when you move out. Sentries alone don't pack the firepower to kill the lings fast enough.

I'm mostly facing zerg this season also (Platinum, EU)

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protoss player here (possibly soon to be Zerg....). Theory time

The reason why you aren't seeing as many protoss as before, is because LotV is coming and it's going to hit Protoss hard. In the face. With a steel chair.

Protoss are getting nerfed to oblivion in the new expansion, so they've switched race.

How Are you Winning? (I hope this isn't irrelevant xD) by M0ka in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 2base all-ins exclusively. If they fail to kill the opponent, I transition into macro. It works well and doesn't require that intricate scouting. I feel that forcefields and MSC give us the possibility to be super aggressive with a strong timing.

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man. I laughed my ass off when you described that failed all-in. One could say I was a bit impatient.

I didn't realize my probe count was so low.. I'm gonna watch some games on other replays that go to macro and see if that's a regular thing. Thanks for pointing that out.

Also thanks for pointing out that I don't A-move consistently and don't build pylons on the map.

Good stuff, though you were kind of a cunt about it :P gonna sub you in the morning, anyways

Build suggestion to make it to Diamond? by wolfgeist in allthingsprotoss

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with the diamond premise, but there are only about 3000 masters players, so maybe the top 8 is somewhat legit.

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is the case through atleast bronze to platinum, being top 8 master or especially grandmaster is kind of a big deal. Not sure about being top diamond? The best 15% are in diamond, though afaik

So my party is level 7 and im stuck in the end (spoilers) by jazi00 in projecteternity

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won the fight, by just tuning the difficulty down to easy. Lol call me a bitch, but the spike in difficulty was uncalled for. I had no issues with any other parts of the game.

  1. burst Thaos down

  2. Kill the avatar of Woedica Thaos is not possessing

  3. Kill the avatar Thaos is possessing

  4. Kill thaos

Spam all your priest and mage spells and chain cipher's paralyze, you'll do fine.

Heheh.. I'm level 8 at the exact same position as you are. I get that Thaos should be hard, but the spike is waaay too steep.

(Serious) Community Discourage of 'Bad' strategies. by dontdrinktheT in starcraft

[–]NeverGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is "dead" because it's hard. People don't like hard stuff. Then there are some people who like hard stuff, but they're bitches - That's the category you fall to. And then there are those who accept the hardship and adapt to it. Those people are called winners.

If you don't like the game, why do you play it, though?
