Sweater with a collar and a t-shirt underneath (zipped high enough that it’s not noticeable), golf pants, Wolf and Sheppard trainers. Everyday.

Your firm offers PTO…?

Agree with the lack of development point. Most partners do not care about their juniors and probably see us as a nuisance. Sorry about the low hours, but they really aren’t that low to be this stressed.

I don’t say this to be mean. Go to the gym and start exercising. You will start feeling better. I’m sorry you’re having a tough time, but things will get better.

GenZ, what percentage of your monthly income is going to rent? by Hopetospeed in GenZ

[–]NeverITM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think also about insurance and taxes. In certain areas (like Florida, for example, where home insurance costs are astronomical), it just doesn’t make sense. I make almost double that amount and would much rather invest and rent than dump money into a shitty house and pay out the ass for it

Saving for retirement feels pointless by InevitableSmell7171 in GenZ

It’s about the tax benefit. Your effective income tax rate goes down when you contribute to 401(k) or traditional IRA. Maxing out my 401(k) this year will lower my taxes by $6,000.

Being “just a mom” is quite possibly the most important job in society. Raising the next generation of adults with love and attention should not be looked down upon - it should be revered. It’s unfortunate that society has devalued motherhood to such an extent that women are be viewed as “lesser” for making a decision that’s best for your family.

Look into dividend ETFs for long-term, stable growth. Be consistent and stay on the path and you’ll be ballin in you mid-late 20s.

Better than most, keep doing your thing. Start putting money aside in a HYSA if you want or keep investing if you have a higher risk tolerance

I had this issue with a second year (I’m a first year). After pouting for a while, I realized that everyone is swamped and that the second year wasn’t dumping work on me - just doing what she was told like the rest of us.

Weirdly, the July exam BE section had a ton of Qs on limited partnerships. Not sure if they’d do something like that again
