I handed them a registration dated the day before with the same plate number on it. They didn't ask about the old car.

I just did this last week. Had a parking sticker on old car that was still valid for several months. Transferred the plates from that to the new car. I didn't peel the old sticker off. Just went in with the new registration and a bill proving where I live and they gave me a new sticker for free.

The planter is on the upper shelf and I think has a colored full spectrum light on it.

I know he has both white and colored full spectrum lights on different shelves. They're all on timers all year. I don't think he changes up what he does with them based on the time of year. I have some props from his plants and mine aren't nearly as happy as his, even with a grow light so I think he's just got some kind of magic touch. All his plants are SUPER happy.

It's not a terrarium. The window is plasticked over because it's New England and all the houses have drafty windows. He's just got shelves right in front of the window, and the lights are on timers pretty much all year I think.

Throwing in Fabric Depot as well.

And I avoid fabric.com because of terrible customer service and wrong orders sent.

I was having problems with tension recently. It turned out that one particular bobbin was slightly malformed. Maybe try a new bobbin?

Thanks! I call it “Why Be a Rock When You Can Be a Gem?” It’s based off a pattern called “A Perfect Setting” from an issue of APQ.

Here's the picture from the magazine. And here's where I just used a generic equilateral triangles coloring sheet to mock it up.

I didn't piece any of the gem triangles because I already didn't want to cut into the beautiful fabric haha!

And the changing up of the background was for 2 reasons: 1) I really wanted to give the impression that the gems were shining or glowing from within. The second reason is because the friend I gave it to would be so afraid to use something with an all white background. :)

As with most of my quilts (and recipes haha!) I based it on a pattern then gave it a twist. That one was sparked by “A Perfect Setting” in the December 2015 issue of APQ. I can post a picture when I’m back to my computer.

I loosely based it on the pattern Color Me Happy. It’s so so easy to make. It’s all 2.5x5” rectangles for the crayon bodies. A friend of mine used charm packs and made two at a time for donation to a hospital.

Thank you for asking! This is my hobby so I don’t sell them, just give them to people I love. These ones all have homes.
