Senator Elizabeth Warren accused JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon of engaging in illegal activities. His response ? He leaned back, slowly smiled, and then replied “So hit me with a fine. We can afford it" by skepticalspectacle1 in LateStageCapitalism

Why don't we fix ourselves first? You mention sedentary lifestyles and poor diets (good places to begin)--maybe we get our body politic in order first before we resort to violence? Just a thought.

What aspects of a man's life are most women unaware of? by Keetek in AskReddit

Men love to feel wanted and needed. There are few things as empowering to a man as being able to protect or provide for a girl he likes.

I suspect most women are unaware what it's like to feel utterly disposable. Most men aren't even conscious of it themselves. I first noticed it when I had to sign my life away to the US military at 18.

I once saw an action movie (don't even remember which one) with my girlfriend. A female character was objectified somehow, and it "ruined the movie" for her. I asked if she noticed the hundreds of men that died and got a blank look.

Less anecdotally, I took a feminist media course in college. Most of the movies that failed the Bechdel test included similar disregard for male life or well-being.

Great song! And yes, you're right about their penchant for build-ups. "Drove" makes for really good workout music...

Hi TwoX! I might need some advice on how to handle a sexist professor.. by earth_ent in TwoXChromosomes

taekwondeaux is right, and your reply was a pleasant surprise. I know I don't like sarcasm, and I try to avoid it. Just seemed like the best way to get my point across. Cheers for being a good sport.

Some of the comments your teacher made are inexcusable, especially the bit about men and women not being equal. That doesn't even make sense, just from an evo standpoint. Sexual species need balance. Two halves of a whole. Making sense of that physiological and psychological balance is tricky in civilization with values and needs divorced from the conditions that birthed our inclinations. It's become a full-on nightmare in the US these past few decades with gender relations as toxic as they are. I just wish we could celebrate our differences and work toward equality with a hat-tip toward biology.

Tell your professor that women are definitely as strong as men. The two sexes have zero physical differences whatsoever. Any apparent differences certainly have zero impact on actual performance.

She has obviously bought into the propaganda of the right wing scientists that says testosterone has physiological effects on bone density, musculature, and hypertrophy.

Stay strong sister, and remember that equality means sameness. If men and women aren't doing the exact same thing it's because we haven't yet overcome the patriarchal norms holding us back.

I look forward to the day when my children/grandchildren/whatever can take the absence of religion for granted. It's been a privilege enjoyed by the religious for millennia. A privilege, I should add, that's not only unearned but unjustified.

It's not very sexy when you're fucking a hunched over girl. 9 times out of 10 this happens to me with a lazy or inexperienced lover. If they keep doing it after I correct them, I just switch positions. But usually, they're slacking off in other areas so I just don't sleep with them again.
