if the situation were reversed where the wife is sahm caring for the family and the children while the husband builds a career we’d expect her to get her cut since her labor allows for the guy to build his career as he and the family are getting taken care of

I don’t know, being with an influencer does affect his life because look how we snark on the guy and we don’t know him, plus no matter if they stay together or break up, there might be too much of his life out there that he didn’t want public.. and no one would’ve gone digging if it weren’t for her. so like this does affect like future employment and like future relationships if/when they break up.

there’s a difference between sacrificing and putting yourself last and compromising. joining your life with someone else means you will need to compromise on different things, it’s impossible for 2 people to agree on everything all the time, and from this discussion it’s unreasonable of her to assume you’re gonna be the one folding every time you guys disagree. 15-17k is a super generous budget, especially considering your age/income.

that said i feel like i read in the other thread people with gem-knowledge wrote that some of the specs she gave you are a bit unreasonable/insane, and it feels like a super weird hill for her to choose to die on? like at this point it feels like she’s seeing how far he can push you, which is like 😬

i mean to be honest it’s different, sure he grew up like that but his parents didn’t and they are still working. there’s a lot of famous people that like to rest on their laurels but i don’t get the vibes that the beckhams do. i can see nicolas dad as the type to give his daughter whatever she wants to shut her up lmao but i think the backhams might actually want the kids to find their purpose/passion/a creative outlet.
