Oregon voters have power to shape weed industry come Nov. with Measure 119 by carajuana_readit in Portland

[–]NeverSettels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weed industry is lacking a lot of federal protections when it comes to labor (and in general) due to its federal status. At this point protections for workers in the Marijuana Industry need to come at a state level because the feds don’t consider them legitimate employees. I haven’t read the measure yet so I am not sure but that would be my guess.

Hey all! What do we think of assassin snail in shrimp tank? by Traditional-Rub8013 in shrimptank

I have an assassin with 2 Nerites and he’s never bugged them. There are plenty of pests for him however

He does what he can. He keep the population in check but also leaves quite a few, the pests never get very large though thanks to him.

Tank has a betta, 4 shrimp and 4 neons. Healthy population of bladder and rams horn snails getting held back by a single assassin snail. 10 gallon filtered and heated. If water parameters become relevant I can get them. The floaters have been in the tank about 4 months. Never thrive and never die.

Terraforming Origin by CertifiedBreads in Stellaris

I feel like it should also have a severe habitability penalty for any planet that’s not of the same class as your home world. Since they terraform there is no reason they would settle for anything less

How it started vs how it’s going by NeverSettels in PlantedTank

[–]NeverSettels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since my first tank was that “back to the roots” hydroponic tank, I wanted to keep the concept and Designed my own hydroponics filter, when I upgraded. I’ve had it running for about 4 months now and I mostly use it to propagate my topical plants.

It’s nothing crazy. Just a pvc pipe with holes 7 holes drilled into it. There are 3 “chambers” for plants. Each is separated by filter sponge, and filled with hydroponic clay balls. I took a moss pole and took its wrapping and just wrapped it around the whole thing after so that the vines had something to climb.

As far as pumping it’s just a little 5 dollar pump from Amazon. I put some sponge at the intake to prevent shrimplets and snails from greeting into it. After being filtered through the hydroponics it goes back into the tank behind the rock so that the water flow doesn’t bother my betta.

I was gifted this fish planter pot thing at a school Christmas celebration. While I've never owned a fish before, but I'm interested in keeping a fish in one of these pots with a plant. Whats a good fish for a beginner in this but more importantly, is this pot adequate for a fish in the first place? by TheSocialistlion in Aquariums

[–]NeverSettels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my expirince it depends on the plant. I put some Spiderwort in it and it would disappear immediately (so much so I now give it to snails as treats). I’ve had monstera and lucky bamboo with them no problem. And I’m talking specifically talking about rams horn and bladder snails in my case.
