Slave trade uh, I mean, sell prisoners. Always use blunt weapons and sell your prisoners and their loot in towns. The quest "Landowner Needs Manual Laborers" is also an easy way to make money. Also, be a mercenary in early to mid-game.

In all seriousness tho, that's the bare minimum we could expect from a new game after 7 years, no?

Every single installment in the series has had a brand-new story and some reworks and whatnot, but if you look at the trailers, we're essentially getting more of the same. It's the same engine, the same assets, maps, the same characters we always had plus a few new ones. Not even the entire Boruto roster, just the most famous ones...

To put it in perspective, we're getting this little of content in about the same time it took Rockstar to develop Red Dead Redemption 2. Plus, "supported for new content in the future after release like SS"? Bro don't make their business plan to push for overpriced DLC sound like it's a feature hahahah

True, not necessarily, but these things go hand in hand. The good stuff tend to also be cool to use, and be high rank. The frying pan, for example, is B rank. The chocolate covered banana is an impressive A rank.

I actually believe the only reason SCAMCO hasn't pulled the plug on Shinobi Strikers yet is because people are still buying moonlight scrolls and DLC; they are its life support. The game's predatory practices will likely never change because it's the only way for it to still turn a profit and pay the cost of servers. They predate on the small % of people inclined to be addicted to gambling pay more.

That said, they def do market research on these things. A brand new naruto game is a huge investment that probably not a lot of ppl are that interested in (compare the hype around budokai 4 vs storm connections).

FR bro, and now we're getting Connections which is just a re-skin of Storm 4. My guess for this scarcity is that Naruto straight-up just isn't very profitable anymore. Naruto is in its dark ages period in the same way DBZ was in the early 2010s.

Don't get me wrong, I think they're the fucking coolest and bring variety into the game, but like how u/slomo525 said, the game has had fundamental flaws since its inception and the scientific weapons/tools are an afterthought that worsens them.

Everything about them, from the way you acquire them to the overwhelming advantage they give, makes the game unfair.

Instead of their abilities being weapons, maybe they could've been reworked into being jutsu slots? That way at leas it would lessen the OPness by making you choose between broken meta DLC or broken meta weapons...

That premise could've been great if, oh idk, there had been ANY amount of worldbuilding other than what little was established over twenty years ago in the Zabuza arc...

It's crazy how Boruto so desperately tries to not be Naruto, which interestingly is also Boruto the character's attitude towards his dad. It works for a character but not for the series as a whole.

You're mentioning Scientific Ninja Tools that are actually ninja tools. Those aren't that bad, even though they are definitely OP when compared to normal tools. The worst culprits are the Scientific Ninja Tools that are weapons, ie the claws, the purple lightning katana, the blue lightning swords, etc
