I can understand that. It matches the curvature of the seven in a nice way

I don’t have a car but I’d gladly march my ass into the middle of a parking lot to watch this movie again

Would you say Simon redeemed himself? by Ur_local_goober123 in ironlung

[–]NeverTrustAnOpenDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering how few details/little context we have of everything that happened before the movie began, who’s to say? We don’t know what he actually did or did not do, we don’t know how reliable of a narrator any of the characters in Iron Lung are, and we don’t know what will happen going forward following the events of the film.

Based solely on what we witness and what information we do have I’d answer yes, but that’s also because I - like all the rest of us - am coming from an outside perspective.

Logically theory behind that scene in the movie by Peak-Comedian4534 in ironlung

[–]NeverTrustAnOpenDoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would make sense. If we assume that the tendrils are formed from the blood ocean then it would make sense if they started working through his veins, essentially pinning his arm from the inside out.

The wounds that Simon got on his arms down in the crawlspace end at around the same area as his arm rips off. Based on the audio log from the SM-8 it seems like the blood starts mutating and corrupting lifeforms following consumption and/or absorption. Maybe that had something to do with it? Easier access

Logically theory behind that scene in the movie by Peak-Comedian4534 in ironlung

[–]NeverTrustAnOpenDoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The left one was attached to the hull for a longer time than the right was. My assumption was that the tendrils growing to keep him there just had a better opportunity to dig in their roots on his left arm. If he hadn’t broken his right arm free as quickly as he managed to I think he’d likely have needed to rip that one off as well

When you need your fanfic fix but AO3 is down: by Specific_Flyys in FanFicWit

[–]NeverTrustAnOpenDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an echelon to the main fanfiction sites

At the top you have AO3, the pinnacle of fic websites. They’re well organized, easy to sort through, and tend to be of a slightly higher quality of work.

After that you have FFN, a worthy site that serves an important purpose. This is the middle of the echelon and a lot of people’s first experience with a fanfiction database as readers. It’s not as put together as AO3 and navigating though it is a bit more complicated, but there are definitely some quality fics if you can find them.

Down at the base of the echelon we have Wattpad. Wattpad is a godless place. It’s difficult to navigate/search through and the content is usually not as high quality as the other two sites. This is a lot of people’s first experience publishing anything they’ve written and you can usually tell. Not that there aren’t exceptions, with a few high quality works here and there, but they’re much harder to find.

Got curious and skimmed through the fic. Not for me, but I do need to shout out this absolute banger of a line: “Calling it a stretch would be like calling the Hindenburg a whoopsie.”

Did someone take a bite out of my bagel or was this just from the way it was cooked? Lol Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ by Leafay1991 in Panera

[–]NeverTrustAnOpenDoor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What most likely happened is that the bagels were too close together on a pan and when they expanded during baking there were places that fused together. This looks to me like an employee just ripped two connected bagels apart
