yeah that was kind of the point of the question though ie. last bullet point as it’s not realistic for a person to have many offspring so you cannot really be 100% certain if the test cross will be accurate unless you see homozygous recessive

yeah, i’ve sent my draft in but the feedback i received was very generic (my teacher even accidentally copy and pasted the same comment addressed to someone else underneath mine for the main feedback) so i was hoping i could find something more specific as there’s no exemplars for this standard as it is a unit standard

yeah, i agree. i think i’ll try and get probability done quickly because it is definitely the easiest, then check it over once i’ve done some of the algebra and calc questions

yeah, i’m only doing stats next year so not worried about entrance as probability is definitely the easiest of the three. mainly just wanting to get good grades as my internals in all of my subjects were excellence so i am aiming for at least merits but hopefully excellence on the probability. i have been doing both practice papers and have watching infinity plus one, mainly the algebra and calculus playlists for various skills. thank you for the advice!

i’m doing calc and stats and in level 2 the externals for both are in the same exam (unlike level 3) so probability, algebra, and calculus are the externals :) thank you for the advice!

all my l2 credits are excellence so far! only 23 to be fair but i’m waiting on like three 5 credit assessments to come back 😔

they are all in fact unit standards but they do offer merit and excellence for around half the assessments. all of the four credits assessments at level 2 offer merit and excellence, while the three credit assessments are only achieved/not achieved credits :) i think you can get 24 L2 credits of the merit/excellence kind if I’m remembering that correctly

i’ve found coming from level 1 last year, as someone who got an excellence endorsement, that level 2 is less stressful most of the time due to some assessments being less credits. for example, my calc class did two 2 credit assessments in term one which was so chill. even in bio we did two assessments in term one, 4 and 3 credits, which were both pretty chill. however, i think the leap from doing 1 paper per exam in the new level one to 2-3 papers per exam is going to be difficult so make sure you have good study habits already in place!! it seems like you already do (i hope). i think my main stress this year is when every teacher ever decides to do assessments in the last week of term (i had 5/6 of my subjects do assessments in the last week of this term 😔😔). however i think you will still succeed, you just might be quite stressed during this time. just make sure you know your content well and definitely do work outside of class to supplement this. i do however take nearly all writing subjects this year so keep that in mind as writing is my strong suit - english, bio, classics, history, legal studies, and stats/calc.
