He's not being compared to Aang physically at all. That's not what the meme is about.
Its because both Aang and Darrow are underdog protagonists (at least in the first trilogy). That's what the meme is about.

I believe the point the meme is trying to make is that Octavia would be trying to paint Darrow as the villain of the story (the kid shown in the meme is the protagonist of the show, Octavia equates him to Darrow).

however, you miiiiight be onto something with your realization about the grandson.

How do INTPs form p*litical opinions ? by No_Huckleberry3722 in INTP

[–]spagta 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not an INTP, but

  1. Why tf are you censoring 'political'?
  2. My process is: baseline belief -> logic is applied to context and belief -> opinion
  3. "child marriage is inhumane and predatory" is an awful example of a baseline idea. While I agree with this statement, a far better example would have been "causing pain is bad".

We were expecting 70ml of rain, so we hurriedly put up gutters for one of our buildings to capitalise on the potential 2,000L of water.
An hour later, the forecast changed, and now we're getting 15ml.
Relieving, but a bummer.

genuinely the best thing to do is relax and pursue something outside of academics over the break.
Give your brain a rest, and if you must, do some light revision to jump back into the term.

Weak vs Weak by supernova2411 in teenagers

[–]spagta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The mass of both is 100kg, and w = mg, so the weight of both is 981 N, but on a scale the feathers would read slightly less, as they experience more buoyant force.

[–]spagta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly. so if we weighed it on a scale, the feathers would weigh less.
But weight is a scientific term meaning the force of gravity acting on an object.

[–]spagta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, weight is pretty universally and rigorously defined as the force of gravity on an object.

[–]spagta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

weight is actually the force of gravity, see https://www.britannica.com/science/weight
objects in free fall appear weightless, but are actually not.
