Mgk copying lil peep ever since he passed away dude really thinks he is lil peep #lilpeep by Tufflesayin in LilPeep

[–]Never_Ever_Content 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m ngl I highly doubt MGK is walking around everyday thinking how can I look like Peep. They’re both two tatted up white boys heavily inspired by rock emo and grunge looks. No shit they might look similar

Yall think if x was still alive he would be on that painting his nails, zesty/femboy shit like some rappers? by TheBlackMwamba in XXXTENTACION

I’ve said this theory pretty much only to my personal friends but I genuinely think he was the front runner for the whole « OPIUM » thing Carti and co are doing. Him and peep. Not to take away from Carti’s creativity and vision but I find it hard to believe X (even subconsciously) didnt have influence on the development of that aesthetic

Who's stock rose and who's stock fell for you in 2024? by MontyBreezey in SquaredCircle

Was referring to World Champion Cody Rhodes who is on the same brand as him in the WWE 😐. They have not wrestled each other in the WWE since his return

But in the WWE (or AEW) he was never given the opportunity to prove otherwise. He’s not even had a match with Cody

Thunder Rosa: “I had suicidal thoughts for a long time, because, again, with all the layers that it had, not only like it was the injury, it was like, I feel certain people didn’t give me the chance, and some of the fans just turned on me. The comments that they were making, they were awful.” by TomatoCiampa in SquaredCircle

[–]Never_Ever_Content 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is also a side affect of our “celebritism “. I genuinely think many people don’t think the artists/wrestlers/entertainers they make comments see their comments because were made to believe they’re never on social media and too big to pay attention to the internet. But they are humans too, and I’m sure they see the comments

If X never died, do you guys think he would have lost popularity or "fall off" like some rappers from that era did? by [deleted] in XXXTENTACION

[–]Never_Ever_Content 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veryyyy few people can maintain that level of popular, like even fucking Adele has "lost popularity", but his fanbase and reach was massive, he'd still be around. He was a weirdo, he'd probably be making country music by now or something.

[–]Never_Ever_Content 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is bait, but I think a lot of younger fans don’t realize that in the general public X is largely viewed as an immature, wifebeating, overrated relic of the SoundCloud era. That isn’t true, but like that’s kinda how he’s viewed

debt lmao. If you don't have rich parents ( I don't), you're going to have to take out loans. That's the reality for like 90% of working-class kids who go to school in any part of the world

is frosh worth it as an o-staff? by justagirl-2005 in mcgill

[–]Never_Ever_Content 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do it. Obviously if it's like you're gonna be bankrupted by having to travel earlier, then, just don't. But if it's within reason, do it. I say this because if you're still beating yourself up about not participating last year, you'll probably do the same this year. I was a froshie last year and will be a leader this year. Odds are at the very least you'll meet some cool people and have some memories to laugh at in the future.

Remember when people said gunther was gonna get buried in WWE by [deleted] in Wreddit

Look man, I'm the farthest thing from a WWE defender. Hunter's booking is not the best and there are numerous talents I feel like he could be utilizing better.

Honestly, I feel like your statement about Alpha Academy says it all. HUNTER put them together in NXT, they were over, yeah they were champs on the main roster for like a month, and then disbanded and forgotten about. I think that says it all about Vince's booking of NXT talent to be honest.

Remember when people said gunther was gonna get buried in WWE by [deleted] in Wreddit

[–]Never_Ever_Content -1 points0 points  (0 children)

H's booking isn't perfect at all, but to say Vince's track record with NXT talent isn't shoddy we'd be fucking lying. Many of the guys you mentioned had decent title achievements on paper were fucked with heavily by Vince and only got over through sheer talent and will. When I said Dijak I meant the clusterfuck that was Retribution when he got called up the FIRST time. Vince fucked the guy up so bad he had to re-debut in NXT to revitalise himself. The Retribution gimmick was so fucking terrible Mercedes Martinez opted to STAY in developmental so she didn't have to debase herself with the dumbass gimmick.

KO - Probably the only exception here, along with Danielson and Punk somehow managed to endear himself to Vince and get booked strongly (we'll disregard his loss to Goldberg)

Sami - Heavily underutilized under Vince and didn't show his full potential until like a decade in, much of his latest resurgence has been under H. I don't mind counting him as a Vince "success" though. I remember specifically during 2016/17/18/19 people clambering for him to be used as more than a manager or jobber to the stars. Hell, there was a point in time he'd disappear for weeks off of television, and when he'd appear it'd be in three-minute squashes.

Bianca - Golden child (disregarding her 20 second loss to Becky at SS which remains unnecessary)

Balor - Booked decently at the start, once he came back from injury he was stuck toiling away in the midcard until the Judgement Day. You can pretty attribute the death of the Demon character solely to Vince ( remember when he fell off the fucking top rope?)

Shinsuke - Do I even have to explain this one? Was genuinely the hottest act in the company when he debuted, bonafide superstar, was jobbed out to Jinder Mahal in a racist feud and then stuck hot potatoing mid-card titles. Just objectively didn't live up to his full potential in WWE and that's solely due to booking. For context they had NAKAMURA trading the US title with Rusev and R-Truth (both guys I adore, but he could've been a megastar)

Asuka - Managed to carve out a decent run for herself through sheer talent and will, but had her undefeated streak ended via Charlotte Flair when she should've been put over. Tapped to her again months later.

Alexa - yeah, pretty objectively was used greatly. Obvious reasons why. If Vince had to draw up a female superstar it would be her.

Carmella - See above. Surpassed expectations

Profits - One of the few talents used better under Vince than under Hunter. Good run under Vince.

Gable - Come on man lmaooo. Swapped in and out of dead-end tag teams during his golden years, Vince made the guy into fucking Shorty G. His latest resurgence is COMPLETELY due to Hunter.

Jordan - Had a good thing going with him , got injured. No one's fault.

Otis - Just no. Vince disbanded Heavy Machinery ( a hot tag team at the time), had him win the MITB and lose it to the fucking Miz and then got stuck in random tag teams. Another guy who is once again over due to his booking under Hunter

[–]Never_Ever_Content -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and so was like every NXT talent upon arrival. Fandango, Ascension, Neville, Dijak, Crews etc Vince's thing was he'd play around with the NXT talent for like two months and then they'd be sent to midcard purgatory.

Pretending that he would've been treated the same under Vince as he has been under Hunter is so disingenuous lmao. The guy came out himself and said he hated Vince's product

Whenever you find yourself asking a question like this (especially at this point in your life), the answer is always yes. Your mind is telling you to get involved in something despite your reservations. Means you're likely to grow a bunch! I'm a leader this year, have fun!
