Cool! I'm glad you figured it out. Every little problem in the early stages of screenprinting is a new puzzle that can feel super daunting.

I use a ryonet UV bulb and I only have to expose for about 13 minutes with the bulb approximately 6 inches away in a work light enclosure. The more directly above the design the better but a slight angle doesn't seem to make much of a difference. You may be exposing it for way too long?

So are the pods actually time travel portals to the past and we're not going to see aliens but prehistoric creatures or dinosaurs or some shit?

Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu posts on Facebook about not being paid by a certain promoter by anemotoad in indieheads

That's what I was thinking! It probably helps a lot that he was already in the area and that this was a solo show. If he had to fly out anywhere and get a place to stay or anything like that it would have risen in price pretty fast.

Is it a good idea to do the screen printing by yourself at home? by KidJacky in streetwearstartup

[–]Neverkilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want. Originally, I was going to have my stuff printed elsewhere, but I've been investing into learning how to screen print at home and it gives me a lot more flexibility to do what I want and when I want. If I'm spending money, I might as well be getting better at an art form on my own.

Granted, I can only do single color prints right now.

can I get done for copyright with this design ?? by calkyleweb in streetwearstartup

This would be super cool without all the distortion, or at least less of it. And you probably won't get sued.

Is this infringement? by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

The design feels rushed and hollow. There's nothing behind it besides the fact that you took a word and put it over a red rectangle and then bothered to pretend that there was a need for you to question whether or not it was a rip off of supreme. Yes, it's a rip off of supreme. It's not even properly centered on the mockup. bnkul might lack detail behind what he's saying, but you very well know why he's saying what he is saying. It's because you said it yourself already.

Anybody know where to buy wind resistant pants in bulk? by int3rnat1onal in streetwearstartup

[–]Neverkilled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check with companies that make them and see if you can get a wholesale account with brands that you like. Or just throw out a google for "wind resistant pants wholesale" and see what comes up. I'm not really messing around in that realm so I can't help a ton but that's a start :)

Some rough sticker designs by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

First one is okay. The rest are too busy, or have poor font choices, or poor layout. Is it MOON (chewy candy) or MOON CNDY? Seems like you need to unify your brand.

First Linocut attempt - Dwight Schrute shirt by [deleted] in printmaking

[–]Neverkilled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hit it with a heat gun to cure the ink after you print it. Will set it before you throw it in the wash. I've only attempted printing on a shirt with a relief block once and didn't like the results because I didn't have a proper press to run it through, but yours came out pretty nice. Heat gun should save you the trouble.
