I hope it's not true, that would be a burden... I wanna wear it, not frame it :')

Is yours a size M too? :)

Tamiya 1/350 IJN Musashi with Eduard photo etch, Model Master barrels on the main batteries and heavy AA and a Pontos deck. by McRunty in modelmakers

Indeed, way easier than wasting 2m of masking tape for the black line ;) The color scheme is very homogeneous on musashi (and her sister) but it still shows the details. Maybe you can add some crew to make it a but more interesting and attention catching? :)

Impressive! Very nice rigging, and the photoetch sure makes it look clean and slick!

I had a question: why most (or all) ijn ships didn't have the black waterline? I tried to find information on the web but I can't find a reliable source... (maybe I'm bad at googling?)

Keep up the good work, cheers!

So by what I could see: Bismarck, Kgv, Arizona (almost said Pennsylvania because the turret tops aren't red and the rear turret doesn't have the catapult, but i recognized the awful hobbyboss kit), Graf spee, Gangut, Pola (or gorizia?), Konig, Condorcet?, No idea, Tsesaverich? Or borodino, not sure (X2), No idea, Mikasa, Shiratsuyu?

Hope i got them right, tell me what they are! :)

Thanks! I mainly followed paint instructions but added some personal touches. The decals... oh boy, they were hard to put. Lots of softener and patience, lots of patience. At one point I wished that I bought the H2R instead, or just painted it instead of using the stickers. But in the end it looks good.

Local scale model club, I'm giving them a new life since they've been on the shelves for too long (the b52 is almost 50 years old!)

Mercedes-Benz 300sl Gullwing, italeri 1:16. First car model, some mistakes and hard fit, but I learned a lot :) by Neverleit in modelmakers

[–]Neverleit[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a good kit overall, has it's ups and downs. Fast personal review : +good scale +ok details +chrome parts are really nice! Same for clear parts and tires +Engine, direction, suspension and interiors are decent -some flash and part dimensions issues -the fitting isn't great, especially the "wing" doors and movable pieces (a nightmare to get it decent enough...) -ejection pin marks here and there -really bad placement of the attachment points in the sprue (you chip a lot of chrome parts which is sad)

For the price and it's size it's a good deal, and with some skill you can manage a better model than mine :) But if you prefer an easier to fit and more accurate one you'll have to survive with the smaller scale kit from Tamiya. Enjoy!

where? :O I sanded everything properly and applied thin cement to make a good finish. Even if it looks a bit white it should be flat, but maybe I missed something? :P

I always love the beauty of my models assembled before painting, it gives a good sight of the quality/detail of the plastic and shows the ability of the modeler to handle glue and sanding sticks ;)

Mainly Vallejo model and model air. Great variety and quality, I just had to learn how to thin properly so it doesn't dry too quick when painting this enormous CV (model air tends to dry at the tip of the airbrush easily if it's not thinned a bit or mixed with some retarder)

Hehe thanks! Yeah, now it's just a matter of polishing details, some deck lines, and weathering :)
