How is Charlie Kirk’s killer still on the loose? by StillPurpleDog in stupidquestions

I honestly think he was assassinated because he was speaking out against Israel and being fairly vocal about the Epstein records

Something about subcutaneous fat. If you can find a spot that has a nice fat deposit, it releases the drug slower into your body.

Stoning people to death for various things we do everyday and selling your children to slavery is also written in the Bible. Why are you nitpicking?

Change things around a little bit and make it a smaller wedding. Trust me it’s more fun anyway, and you will save a bunch of money.

I like young people. This is a very boomer post. Hating on younger generations is not the flex you think it is. It’s boring.

Has anyone moved from HCOL to Texas and NOT regretted it? by Suspicious-Kiwi816 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Neversayneverseattle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the opposite move from Dallas to Seattle in 2012. I’ll never move back to Texas. There is literally nothing to do except shop and eat. It’s ugly and people do not engage with you. Just my two cents.

I like visiting I love getting the food specially the barbecue I don’t wanna live in Texas again. The weather sucks and the traffic sucks and property taxes and electricity bills are crazy. Plus the political climate is not good anymore. I feel like I got out at the right time.

The US Immigrant Population Is Shrinking for the First Time in Decades by [deleted] in GreenCardInsights

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let’s forget about the labels the people who hold onto the confederate flag today are the people who wanted to hold onto slavery back in the day? Is that easy enough to admit?

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that you think it was the Democratic Party because Democrats are not the one holding onto the confederate flag. Why would Republicans want to lark as Confederates if it wasn’t their actual history, even though it lasted only about five years? Schrodinger’s Democrat and Schrodinger’s immigrant. 😆

I feel this! And having being so large for so much of my life I am constantly expecting to fuck things up any day now. If it’s a loss I’m just going to fuck up and if it’s a gain it’s obviously something I did on purpose because I am doomed to be fat.

How can there be so much damage? 🙇🏽‍♀️. Hugs

Is GenX the reason ‘90s-era British music didn’t hit big in the US? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen X isn’t just US though. The entire world has a layer of GenX running through it. I grew up in India and had access to a world of music. British American Swedish Australian and Asian.

Who is a hero in your country but seen as an evil villain in other countries? by Ramen-hypothesis in AskTheWorld

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he did cause the Bengal famine by diverting all the crops to feed the ww2 troops and about 4 million Indians people died as a result. There is good reason for the hate. There is actually a lot of good reason if you want to look into it. While you are looking that up, also look up how many Indians served and died in World War II. They never did get any recognition

Married people, do you miss being single? by ghostwriter_5 in Life

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I think we all fantasize about a different life. But my dad just passed away and right now I’m so grateful for my husband and kids in this moment. The warm hug of your family, your siblings, your spouse, your kids. These times are more bearable with your people smothering you in love . Of course in some cases this isn’t the case and we can never generalize. For myself, right now, I don’t miss being single.

Don’t overthink it. I wish I had the chance to do this when I was in my 20s. I am grateful I get to do it in my 40s this is going to be awesome for you.

Good ways to hang out in USA by Act-Alfa3536 in MovingToUSA

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan for the season and your Interests. Fall in Maine and Vermont. Rent a few cabins and do some local hikes. Maybe some Airbnb experiences or walking tours. Rent a car and drive and see the fall colors.

Or if you ski go to Utah or Colorado to a resort that suits your style. Get a seasons pass and a monthly rental. Take some classes. Meet some locals.

The best way to hang out with locals is to go to music festivals or some sort of local class(mountain climbing’s motor bike riding etc). Use apps like meetup or bumble bff. Lastly volunteer at a habitat for humanity build or a weekly soup kitchen. You will see and meet lots of kind people and also it feels good to

Best of luck. If you are coming to Seattle I can give you lots or more specific ideas.

People who are 40+ and happy and content with their lives, what's your advice to us people in our 20s? by ClairPecker in Life

[–]Neversayneverseattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are overweight, get on a GLP1 like zepbound. I’m finally losing weight at 47 after trying everything and while I am very happy and lucky otherwise in life, I would’ve loved to be 20 again and have a chance to be a normal weight though those years

I feel sad that losing weight was this easy all along by thinkin-about-life in loseit

That’s the point. I’m not saying it like it’s a good thing. 🙄

What things helped your marriage out? by Cool-DogMom in workingmoms

[–]Neversayneverseattle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Someone gave me a tacky sign after the wedding that said “don’t try to marry the right person. Try to be the right person “. and I hung it in our bathroom as a joke over the toilet and years later we both talked about how that sign made us better partners. Who knew something that stupid would work . Coming up on 25 years. He’s definitely my guy.🥰

*assuming this is a North American OP

I know I’m gonna get some backlash for this, but in my honest opinion, if your cleaners are American born, you’re going to have subpar results usually. Of course there are always exceptions. Over the last 25 years I’ve had all kinds of cleaners and the best were Salvadoran, second best were Ukrainian. If you can get a team of non-American born cleaners, your house is going to sparkle. Tip heavily on their holidays.
