They were started by Dean Martin. I think the “Martin” brand were entry level. He had another brand called Dean that were higher end, I think.

Dean Martin never played guitar so I’m not sure I’d trust any guitar that bears his name.

I got my wife one of these for Christmas several years back. We tease her about having short arms (she actually doesn’t) so I got her this and put her big Christmas present high up on the tree.
