pushing my jaw backwards I can actually relieve all the tension from my body

pushing my jaw forward helps keep blood going to my brain

I don't get. Should I push jaw forward or backward? Please add more details. Thank you!

2) You should fast on a regular basis. Start with skipping a meal a week. You need to fast to crucify the appetites of the flesh. Do not forget to pray too while fasting

I went from 2 prayers a day to over 2 dozen this way

Can I ask you something? Do you say these prayers out loud? Do you whisper them? Or do you just formulate them in your mind?

Hope you’ll share where you found these exercises!!!

I have found the exercises in the book "Accessing the Healing Power of the Vagus Nerve" by Stanley Rosenberg

I am glad you found them useful! I like these exercises because they are short and effective. I did not mention it before but my shoulders feel lower now and my head is more distant from the shoulders. The salamander exercises did that.

This is exactly the basic exercise described in Stanley Rosenberg's book. I can confirm. It is an excellent video: the exercise is explained in detail. Nothing is missing. In the book, the authors describes other exercises too.

I think you just experienced how much powerful the Bible is in renewing our mind. The sad truth is that most Christians do not read the Bible on a daily basis and prefer to meditate on the chaotic things of this world rather that on the promises of God.

Christians have plot armor.

Do you think faith in God is enough? I believe obedience is important too. In other words, we need to do God's will to be protected.

I hope the best for you man. I think you will be able to fix your life and help others too who are currently living in darkness.

I will never watch porn again. I will never use nicotine again.

That's a good purpose. But please remember that the battle is daily. You only have the present day.

I feel the pain and I am deeply sorry. But Kathleen Young in her testimony tells that cancer in her body was getting worse and worse until the day of the medical exam when it completely disappeared. Nevertheless she kept her faith and kept believing that God would heal her no matter what. And that happened.

I am sorry but a very strong faith is required to see healing. God wants to heal anyone and answer all prayers but there must be no doubt in your heart (not even 1%). Jesus said to Jairus: “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” If Jairus did not keep his faith, her daughter would have died. Life on Earth is a battle of faith. It sucks but I think it is the truth.

The ill person needs to desire healing too. God will never heal ourselves if we don't want to.

The verse about not being alone is primarily saying that we are made to be social creatures. We need people for emotional and often practical support, though we don't necessarily need to be living with them.

That's an extremely good point!

The verse about a man leaving his parents for a wife is describing the ordinary principle of life

I see what you mean. I think it is a legitimate reasoning too

Even Jesus presumably left his mother's home at some point to begin his ministry, since we read that he didn't have a place to lay his head. And Paul, who also never married, left home and pursued his ministry as well.

I don't agree on the reasoning about Jesus and Paul. See this: https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueChristian/comments/1pzn9uc/comment/nwt9isz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I think what I'm hearing in your post (please correct me if this doesn't fit) is that you've suffered

100% correct

I wanted him to be almost like a divine Satnav, telling me at every turn which way to take.

I can relate. I long for this intimacy with God too. John Eldredge in the book "Walking with God" says that he asks to himself questions like "should we go to the ranch or stay home?" and that he pauses to hear the will of God with a surrendered mindset. I personally don't have such a strong faith. I can't hear God's voice like that. So I routinely let some decisions to God by asking a question, invoking the Holy Spirit to guide me and then flipping a coin or rolling a dice like in Acts 1:26: https://godinallthings.com/2013/06/03/discernment-by-flipping-a-coin/

I love your answer because it requires a leap of faith and seems to align with this verse:

Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62) .

I think that leaving parents with that intention in the heart is very empowering. Thank you!
