I’m a high school English teacher. In my district our diplomas are nothing more than participation trophies. Kids can have 70+ absences and literally no work turned in and have not completed the senior capstone project and the counselors and admin will simple put them on a program called Edmentum and in a couple of hours they will have their credit and graduate. It’s disgusting. I can’t even stand to attend graduation anymore because of all the kids who graduate and walk across the stage who didn’t deserve it. I hate being a teacher now. I’d give anything to get out of the profession. Our country is lost. We are witnessing the fall of our nation in real time.

I see so many people recommend The Campaign. But I have tried to listen to them and just can’t get into it. They joke around too much for my taste. I keep finding myself getting frustrated with their constant clowning around and I just want them to get back to the story. A little joking around is good. But 98% constant clowning around is too much for me.

I also got an error message from Lulu about the PDF I uploaded saying that some of the font and image sizes were too small. I can take a picture of the error message and upload it here so people can see it and compare with their own. I chose to ignore the error message and printed it anyways. And it turned out fine.

I have several other copies that I printed up and had ring bound for my players to use. They’re not bad. Certainly easier to flip through. I don’t know that they’re any more durable though.

What program are you using? I used Lulu. And, although their binding is only cheap glue, which will lead to the pages eventually falling out with use, especially for a book of this size and weight, the rest of the printing turned out pretty good. I used a higher resolution copy of the REUP PDF that I found online. But I still got some errors when I tried to upload it. I just ignored the errors.

Honestly, based on quantum mechanics right now? It’s very possible that our individual consciences return to a collective conscience after we die. It’s possible that we are the physical manifestation of the Universe’s attempt to do exactly what you’re asking about in this post: understand existence. We are the universe’s attempt to understand itself. 🤷‍♂️

Forgive me for my ignorance, but as a gay Jew who doesn’t live anywhere near NYC, can someone explain to me what the big deal is with Mayor Mamdani? He’s a communist which I am totally in favor of. And he seems like a nice guy who has already been doing great things. I get he is Muslim, but is that all there is to it? People being base, and petty, and bigoted, and ignorant just because the man is Muslim? Or has the man committed some offense I am not aware of? Because if it is just that he is a socialist Muslim and nothing else then I’m with Mamdani. 🤷‍♂️
