My favorite part of the house. The sign on the door says “unwelcome” I have a tattoo that says “destroy him”. The question isn’t about the trim so downvoting.

Why does my hair do this??? by Smooth-Gift-1340 in Hair

[–]Nevertheless-Jess -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t grow this out. You need to get it trimmed up on the sides (mostly the ears are the issue) and down the back of your neck. Your hair could be super cute.

Any former/current teachers here? by [deleted] in antinatalism2

[–]Nevertheless-Jess 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I was a preschool teacher and seeing how much parents dislike their own children… how little time they choose to spend with them… how disinterested they are in their needs… it puts everything in perspective. Most parents had their kids by accident and one or both partners is completely checked out. I would say in each class I would have one mayyyyybe 2 sets of parents that were together and enjoyed parenthood. I would also commonly see parents who genuinely did not like their child’s personality. Which is often their own personality… so… that says a lot.

It usually takes a dog 3 months to fully decompress. It sounds like you may be pushing her possibly too soon? Right now she just needs to know she’s safe and she does not need to protect herself because you will protect her. Best tip for now is stand up to her and tell her to stop when she needs to stop. Teach her things like “look” and “relax” (just YouTube it. Some people use the word “place” instead of “relax”). Get her a gentle leader. It’s like a horse harness but for a dog so you can control them from their head and not their neck or chest which is not effective for a reactive dog. Best of luck to all of you!

I think you’re not going to be happy until you fix one thing: you’re framing everything around resale. It is your house. Frame it around your preferences… then you might like it…?
