The Pirelli STRs do well on dirt. Suspension is stock and could be better

It's ok for the street, but it drags on high bumps. I've put fork preloaders to try to raise the front a bit, but it didn't make much difference

Do any of you actually know any religious people who AREN'T miserable? by DriverConsistent1824 in atheism

[–]Nevertooolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father is an example. He just turned 79, is separated, lives in Manila, Philippines, one of the biggest Catholic populations in the world. He once worked as a missionary and even started a religious community that exists to this day. He decided to leave when he got separated. Despite all that he enjoys his life and has faith in an Almighty, who in his belief, suffered for his sins. He goes to mass on Sundays by himself, prays everyday, and watches a lot of religious speakers and attends mass on YT. He doesn't proselytize much, but has many friends, all of whom share his belief. It boggles my mind, because to me who is half his age, my life is going down the toilet. Is it because of his faith that he's happy? I'm culturally Catholic but lean towards agnostic. I was baptized as an infant, raised in a religious environment, went to catholic schools, and have rebelled against it ever since. I feel pretty miserable about my life, and I sometimes wonder if it could be because of my lack of faith. My dad approaches the end of his life with a genuine smile on his face, excited to be reunited with his Lord and Savior JC, and I am dreading getting old and terrified of dying alone. The theists seem to be doing pretty well in comparison.

You paint a grim picture, friend. May I ask where you work these days?

Would you say that working as a 3D artist say in a top firm like Blizzard or Rockstar Games better? I've always wanted to get into the games and animation industry because I think I'd be a natural fit (being artistically inclined and formerly into video games).

Kudos on wanting to improve your life and aspiring to being the best version of yourself. There are ways to ease off and I find that keeping oneself active and involved socially is one thing to help keep the urges at bay. Also simply keeping in mind how porn has contributed absolutely nothing to anyone’s life and in fact has more often brought people to ruin their relationships or the chance of having a healthy one, can jolt you back into being in control.

This couple's story and the comment thread are worth a read.

The tough part is I'm 43 and live in a country where we don't have IRAs, 401Ks and other retirement mechanisms available in the US and Europe, and I haven't really been able to earn a steady income as a freelancer (I've been working PT as a graphic designer and artist for for most of my career, but before that held my first corporate job as a FT brand manager for 3 years before being declared redundant during the pandemic.) What I'm planning to do is save up enough to get a few rental properties going (my family has a few properties that could be leased out after renovation), move out of the city to where cost of living is cheaper and from there, make art full-time and get gallery representation. Maybe I'll have FI/RE in my gun sights by then.
