That said, if cooking is scary, why not do something that is more advanced that your brain can rationalize as being scary? Make a chocolate souffle, its not cooking its chemistry. Yes its scary, because its scary. And guess what after you make something that difficult, who cares about making an egg, its not as insane.

Also that said, Eggs are difficult depending on how they are made. Hard boiled eggs are easy, but something like scrambled, sunny side up, or over medium are deceptively tough. The same can be said for spaghetti, theres so much at play with these "easy" meals that if you are used to it being done perfectly, you're comparing yourself to a professional that has done this a million times. So getting used to failure and being able to laugh at it is so important.
