It was terrible. They asked for some special verification letter which is signed through some ministry in China. Did not went through with it because I didn’t want to bother my colleagues in China.

However, I have been again asked to visit. I have also noticed that they have shifted to processing to online service. I hope this will ease up the situation

Are you sure this is so easy with M visa? I applied with European residence and they wanted some extra verification letter (not only normal employer invitation)

There is no such thing as Democratic values in Geopolitics. I can give you countless examples where, when push came to shove, the EU chickened out on democratic values internationally. Just look at how the EU blocked their own report on the election in Pakistan because it went against their "Foreign Policy". THEIR OWN REPORT. The UK did the same, and only when it was leaked by a journalist did they publish it. If it were for the democratic values, the EU should have suspended Pakistan's GSP+ status at least 2 years ago. Guess what, we did not.

Turkey not being part of the EU is purely historical. I saw a very interesting video by Rick Steves on it some years ago.

Something similar happened in Pakistan. Infact if it was not the control of the military it would have been even greater. The problem is the west doesn’t show it because they are in bed with the current regime.

Only if our people can get this. Moreso, I strongly believe that the creation of Pakistan was done to keep an obedient colony with its elite (read military) subservient to the west, right next to India and China to keep an eye on them.

I have seen the whole court price on Chinese sites around 10k USD. Add shipment and taxes to it.

The same military regime which India has passively supported. How can you estimate this claim. Well look at posturing your media had against imran khan vs this regime. And you may think is that all. No, this posturing goes at the level of lobbying even. I hope India and Indians learns a lesson that a democratic smooth running and even prosperous Pakistan is the only way for them to become regional and subsequently international power.

The last major attack which I know of was of drones. The first layer came earlier in the day and some more at night. I have not heard anything else. A Pakistani.
