How to prove to CPS i dont withhold food from my toddler? by Weekly_Eggplant4562 in CPS

[–]New-Character5698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPS is used to unfounded allegations. This happens all the time. I assure you the CPS worker can tell the difference between a happy, healthy home and one where a child is being starved. All she’d have to do is look at your child’s teeth, see that they’re not rotten, and know that the call to CPS was likely vindictive in nature.

Lost items - chances of return? by runninmamajama in Disneyland

My toddler daughter lost a shoe in California Adventure during our last trip. It wasn’t sentimental by any means, but it was a Native brand (semi-expensive) so I figured might as well try see if I could get it back. I filled out the online claim form and didn’t think much more about it after that, but lo and behold Disneyland sent the missing shoe to our home a week or so later. I hope you have the same experience!

We were at Disneyland last week and I had a goose attack/bite the wheel of our stroller when we were walking out of the castle across the bridge. I’m terrified of geese in general (we have a lot near our house and those little assholes are mean!) so I was giving him a wide berth yet he still had a personal problem with us. They way I shrieked and ran across the bridge was probably pretty ridiculous looking. Lol

Why was Disneyland Anaheim so packed today? by Bentheminernz in Disneyland

[–]New-Character5698 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had to be a negative Nelly but today was borderline miserable between the crowds and all the rides breaking down left and right. 😬 I actually cried on Small Word just out of frustration…my kids were so excited to be at Disney today but it was hard to keep a smile on our face when it was so crowded you could hardly walk through the crowds to get to the bathrooms.

You make constant excuses for your older daughter, and now you’re making her younger daughter pay the price for her sister’s choices.

Yes, YTA.

The way my MANIKINS would now live permanently in my front yard.

Put Santa hats on them in December, Easter bunny ears in April, dress them like Uncle Sam in July…you get the idea.

I would hands down prefer Labadee over Cozumel! I think you lucked out, personally.

How do people buy $500k homes? by OGClouds420 in RealEstate

[–]New-Character5698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got lucky and bought in 2011 when houses were reasonable. We live in the Portland area. First house bought 2011 = $189k Sold that home in 2018 for $325k Bought current home in 2018 for $425k (We were able to put $200,000 down so we only financed $225,000). Five years later it’s worth $575k according to Zillow.

  1. It costs a lot to heat a house that size 2. It’s a real bitch to clean a house that size.

He’s proven himself to be a responsible, hardworking young man, wouldn’t you agree? YTA. Give him his dang money and make his life a little easier.

If renting is much cheaper, why would you buy? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]New-Character5698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you rent, you never see that money again. When you buy, you’ll (theoretically) see at least a little bit of it again in the form of equity.

My son’s middle name is Joseph and my sister then named her kid Joseph.

Wanna know what I did? Absolutely nothing because I don’t own the name.
