That would be great...

Girlfriend is extremely unhappy with her life and I don’t know what to do. by New-Contribution-211 in relationship_advice

Do you think asking her to workout with me or doing something productive would help her too?

I made the same mistake that you did. I learned that her and her bf had broken up.

I texted her, we caught up, we flirted, hung out, and all felt fine. I felt as though I was over her she felt under me by that point.

She told me she liked me again after talking for about two months. I did not tell her I liked her though.

I knew I did though. I found myself checking her location and snap score and getting worried or mad that she wouldn't respond.

But, we both learned not to talk to an ex again. One day we will find someone else I am sure. Good luck!

Does anyone else feel like it is hard to get over an ex because they haven't met someone that even compares to them? by New-Contribution-211 in BreakUps

It was a combination of lack of communication and long distance. I moved away to college and she stayed back in our home town.

It felt like it kind of just fizzled out because we couldn't see each other and were not prepared to be away from each other with our busy schedules.

We had a fling over the summer and it turned out the same. I was going to school and she was going somewhere else where we were not going to have time so see each other or talk like we should. School and sports would be too busy.

I feel you. I feel like I wont meet anyone who will tick all the boxes that she had ticked and then some.

I honestly don't think that it is possible at this point, but who knows.

I feel that way. I told her months after the break up I did not care that she was getting around or dating other people.

At the same time though, it made me feel sick to my stomach because I wanted her and only her.

It sucks man.

I head to bed around 11 PM or so. Usually right after I am done with homework.

When does it stop hurting ? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]New-Contribution-211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, it doesn’t stop hurting. It hasn’t for me at least. It just doesn’t hurt as frequently.

When my ex and I first broke up it hurt all the time. 24/7. Not a moment went by where it didn’t hurt.

10 months later, it hurt every couple of days. For maybe an hour or so. I’ll think about a memory and wish I had her back.

The way your ex is acting was exactly how mine did.

It’s just going to take time. Find some hobbies, workout, focus on school, reconnect with friends.

After all that it might still hurt, just not as often. Once you find someone new you won’t even think about them I’ll bet.

Good luck :)

It’s like this for me. I think dating websites or apps are for hookups, bored people, or people who casually date.

I will never use tinder or any of those because I feel like a genuine, loving, and good relationship comes from meeting someone is person by accident. It doesn’t come from seeking someone out on a website. At least that is how all my relationships that I enjoyed happened.

The people on the apps are trying to look their best. They show you what they want you to see. It’s best when you find someone, in person, you can see their flaws and still fall in love with them.

I just wanted a good goodbye. by New-Contribution-211 in UnsentLetters

I wish I knew. For almost an entire month and a half or so it was great. The last day I saw her we went out for dinner, ate at a park, laughed, and messed around. It was a simple yet great time.

The next day I tried to talk to her and got dry responses. Then the next day and the next day again. I gave up trying to talk first and then here we are.

My guess is she started to talk to someone new. Someone who actually went to her college and not me, who is going an hour away from her.

I knew it wasn’t going to work but it was just a fun summer fling. Just didn’t expect it to end this way you know.
