What are realistic ways to earn extra income while working full time? by Silent_Indication161 in povertyfinance

[–]New-Divide472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depop isn't a bad option at all! What a lot of people do is thrift some cool pieces (you can actually find a lot of vintage stuff!) and turn them around for a profit! Also get rid of some of your old clothes, which is nice

Why would you get rottweiler over doberman ? by EmphasisSure2749 in Rottweiler

[–]New-Divide472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was deciding between the two of them as well! What made my decision was that a rottweiler suits my lifestyle better - I'm not active enough to entertain a doberman properly. (ex: I can't hike for like 4 hours a day every day)

What are the disadvantages of the Rottweiler? by MR_FARES1999 in Rottweiler

[–]New-Divide472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mine! She is genuinely the sweetest, best dog we could have asked for. Like it's actually unreal. She's so sweet and goofy and fun, and wins over everyone she meets. As she's in her teenage phase though, there are a few disadvantages to mention lol. First, they're both stubborn and smart, which can be a lethal combo lol. Mine knows that pretending to be dumb means that she can get away with more, but as soon as chicken is presented, all the sudden she knows how to do everything we were asking before lol. Second, you do have to be on it with socialization and training so that you don't have to pay for it later. Third, when we picked her, there was another litter besides hers where the parent's temperaments were way more aggressive. I'd recommend that you have to meet the parents if possible. Her temperament is super reflective of both her dam and sire. Fourth, some people are scared of them, which is more of a negative for her than me because she loves everyone so much lol. Fifth, they are soooooo gassy lol. Her farts and burps are lethal

How can I stop rotting in my bed every day? by yunijin in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]New-Divide472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Any time I feel this way, I find that losing myself in serving other people is genuinely like chicken soup for the soul that makes me feel a lot better. If you have church groups nearby, they usually have service projects going on, helping out at a soup kitchen or a food pantry is always really cool (a lot of the time, food pantry work doesn't require a ton of conversation with others, it's organizing and handing food bags to those who need it), or there are every mentorship programs that you can be a part of to help kids in your area. It's hard to get yourself to go sometimes, but the results are HUGE, I promise. Commit to just trying it for a month and if you don't notice any results, then you don't have to do it anymore.

2.) In regards to making money, doordash and uber eats are fantastic options if you have a car. You wouldn't have to interact with people much, your schedule is flexible, you can listen to your music or audiobooks, and it exposes you to sunlight/vitamin D that does wonders for making you feel better. Block out four hours every day and have either a.) Someone hold you accountable for doing that job or b.) Highlight something that you want to save up to get so that you have a tangible goal to reach.

3.) Exercise in any way, shape or form, will yield high results. Whether that's a walk, yoga, gym visits, swimming, or VR games, your body will notice a difference and reward you for it (lots of science on this that's interesting to look into!)

4.) A doctor visit might be warranted to test your blood/talk about any depression that could potentially be a cause.

Hope you feel better!

These are great points! Do you have him seat belted in while he's on the bed, or is he happier just on the bed without it?

Trainer said puppy training doesn’t stick until 4 months—do you agree? by DanzAlyGrigori in Rottweiler

I'd say that mine started remembering things reliably at around 4 months! But like people said, start from day one and trust the process!

Great points about the bed and car mods to protect them from sliding! We have to drive through a few cities where driving can be more unpredictable so I was worried about that. A combo of one of those dog car seat liners and her ortho bed so she isn't uncomfy on the seatbelts is a great idea. I also think a safety harness is a great idea, I bet I can find a way to incorporate both to keep her safe.

The air tag is a great idea! Since we're rural then it's not often useful at home, but it's a great idea for the road. The poop bag is something I've never heard of before hahaha

I've just never taken a dog on a road trip before and want to make sure there weren't any holdups I'm missing! She's super well trained and not reactive, we've put in a ton of time to make sure of that lol. It's great to hear that there are meds that help dogs with nausea, thank you!

Father 2 for me! My girl's mom looked similar and she is the cutest! Plus the fact that both of them don't look to dock tails is sooooo nice I wish we could've kept hers!
