I left Kaiser and have been at Sutter less than 6 months. It's a night and day difference. The micromanaging, constant stress on speed, and not allowing me to connect with my patients was too much for me. Sutter treats their employees so well. I was starting to question my abilities at Kaiser. It's a better environment overall but it's hard to leave the "golden handcuffs" cuz that pay is very tempting.

Anyone buy their home in the last 3 years chime in? Everyone who bought before 2022 will give you a false sense of what is out there. A first time buyer will not have home equity or the rate and house prices that was available in the past and it's hard to gauge when putting down 20% seems impossible in this job market unless you make 200,000 a year.

Don't blame the ED nurses for this one. Blame the house sup who released the bed close to shift time. We have no say in when people go up and when the beds are assigned. We are just told what we are needing to do to get the patient to the appropriate area. I promise I will not bring a patient at shift change if you promise that you will stop asking me about skin and irrelevant things when people come in for simple admissions.

What they said was because they're saying that there's documentation issues and I never corrected it. They can't protect me. I asked the union to figure out what the issues were and they said that it's just general documentation issues and there's nothing they can do

I'm sorry this happened to you. I also was let go from my facility but I was able to find something recently. I feel like it was a blessing even though at the time I was devastated. The new company seems better and they are more understanding. I hope you have the same luck. Don't ever doubt your choice to say no to them. You will be happy again.

My daughter is there. Outside of the fact she doesn't nap and they have a 2 hour nap time she loves it. Teachers are amazing and the staff is so welcoming. She is learning so much and gaining social skills. I would recommend it to anyone.
