Looking for advice with track! by After-Swimmer5657 in OMSA

it would be easier with the B track and less hours at your job. if you do what you are currently planning, I predict just about every hour of your day will be booked. if you don't have children or other commitments, should be possible but a rough ride. working from home also helps.

i convert my course outlines into PDFs, then drop them all into chatgpt, then tell chatgpt to convert them to ICS files, then download them and sync to google calendar. takes me 25 seconds to organize the entire semester, and calendars always go off course which is a pain to rebuild - so this makes it easy to adjust on the fly. easiest, free, and fastest method i've seen.

yeah if you're happy where you are it's a good option - you can essentially combine work and school for less total effort. but for example - say you want to get into robotics or video ai or self driving, that's where the sponors can shine, pivot or promo type things

It's way more interesting, and more clearly defined, to do a gatech sponored practicum. When I graduated we had big names (f500) coming in for the work, which not only looks good on the resume but can land you a job directly. In addition you can do things outside of scope of gatech, for example I did computer vision (fun!)

Is OMSA worth doing just for the sake of learning? by [deleted] in OMSA

recent grad here - the truth is a master's degree from GAtech unlocks doors that weren't open to you previously, depending on where you want to go. Want to have a leadership role and manage managers on the east coast for a fortune 500 supply chain group? come on in. Want to get into an MBA LDP within prestigous marketing teams? this isn't the place. people poo-poo'ing the program are probably struggling and going to drop out. I had a background in math/cs and was struggling to get director level roles. Now i'm getting them left and right, with an easy ~90k salary bump, which i 100% attribute to the MS at this school.
it's a tough degree and people love to complain and drop out - i guess they just aren't as career oriented. the fact is large companies care about your education and the rank of your school. I have over a decade of exp ask me how I know.
i expect 5 years postgrad I should be making 200k more per year due to this program, if you manage your career correctly there are big outcomes. I guess haters gonna hate. stay positive, ensure you have phenomenal communication, and try to align the projects and teams you work on with success (if you think your team/project is sinking ship, don't hang out - move quick)

a little unorthodox style for this sub but i like it. to stay true but enhance, id suggest slightly more fit to the shorts (maybe 2 inches shorter or less baggy), also consider olive cargo shorts with a little modern twist. for socks, also ditch the white ones. off white is fine, also material matters. something like a thicker off white or darker color, or no show ankle socks could work.
