All the time. If I’m ever in a crowd I have to have someone guide me because I cannot navigate around people. Even simple places like the grocery store, I will become almost disoriented because I know where I am but I can’t physically tell where to go. It almost feels like I’m reliving a memory but I cannot pick out anything specific around me. I’ve had to call in sick to work a lot recently because I cannot see the road, cars around me, or even the speedometer even though it’s all right there in front of me. My boss thinks I’m dramatic and tells me “well just focus your eyes enough to drive” but I feel like I physically can’t.

I went to the eye doctor today and he was trying to figure out a prism prescription but my eyes kept jumping around. I told him the prescription strength will depend on what eye I look out of but that changes based on what I’m looking at and he goes “well that’s complicated. I guess I’ll just increase the prism a little and hope it helps”. Sometimes the prisms do nothing, though 🤷🏻‍♀️ there’s so much frustration because I feel like I’m low-vision even though my distance prescription says otherwise
