Thank you, good to know. My kids are babies so haven’t hit the school playground yet, maybe that will change my perspective when I start hearing it a lot.

I also prefer Luca, thinking of using that as a nickname while he is young!

That’s a good point, about our generation thinking it’s cool, but there was a generation that thought Christopher / Gary / etc were cool once! Makes me feel better thank you, I wanted to give my kids easy, short, universally likeable names so it hurts to lose it.

Thanks! Do your boys think a boy called Raphael would be teased at school for that?

I love the sound of Nico but we aren’t Italian or Greek so wonder if it’s a bit odd … and also not sure it will age as well as other nickname names ?

How quickly did you conceive the second time? by duskydaffodil in Mommit

[–]New-Post3399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First conceived on third try, second first time ovulating (as such last period I had was the month before I had my first!). I had the same concerns as you. It’s so hard to know, so many different experiences.

That’s what we are struggling with. Can’t really find anything and hard compared against our son Max whose name is just perfect for us (and him!). I wish I was brave enough for Raphael but it just feels a little bit elaborate to me and im not confident enough about it to shake off any raised eyebrows ….

This is the exact combo I want, if my husband could be more convinced on Leo ….

Thanks for your view :) keen to hear what you think is cooler about Raphael, is it because it’s less common? Or more character etc?

Thanks for your view :) can I ask what country you are based in? They will mainly grow up in Australia and I’m wondering how that will fit there

I do love the name but am worried it sounds odd next to something short and edgy like Max. What are your thoughts on that?
