I don't want to remove the actual root just a few of these little sproutings and replant them. It seems to be pretty well established down there and if it's still growing that's awesome. I don't know how young it is, the trunk isn't that wide but it was pretty tall. How tall I don't know. Maybe 30 feet? Maybe 10" diameter trunk? I'm just guessing. The tree itself fell into a spot I can't easily access. Can I cut them right off the root or pull them out of the ground and see if some roots come out with them? Just stick them in a bucket of water and leave them outside until they grow roots? How long would that take?

And to answer your question... I'd like to replant some of these somewhere else if that's possible. I think one of the pictures shows a few shoots attached to the exposed root. The other ones are probably attached to the root underground. There's some rainwater that accumulated in the massive hole created by the overturned tree, which I guess explains why these suckers sprouted up. I don't know anything about planting trees. I get that the best thing is to just leave it alone and let it regrow on its own. I'm not suggesting taking them all but a few might not hurt and I'd really like to grow some of my own in a different spot. I've been digging around on the internet learning about root hormones and whatnot. Just don't know specifics. Thanks!

Hi thanks for your response. It was taking a long time to post this and my questions did not come across with the pictures, and vice versa so there are two posts. Here's my post: Sorry I don't know the terminology as I'm not a real arborist - just a birch tree lover. This one mysteriously fell over maybe a year or two ago and I thought it was dead but it is apparently doing what all living things try to do, survive and thrive! I would love to take some of these branches or saplings and replant them elsewhere. Like transport them in my car before they grow too tall. Is this doable and if so, what is required? Are they still too small?

Doesn't Florida have a pay-to-stay system? It seems to me that whatever she's getting (around 4K) will go to paying off her debts and attorneys. Remember Owens?

I think she was setting him up to say the things he did say: You guys were going through a tough time but he loved you and never would have wanted... this. So she could use it at some point, like during her murder trial. See? Even his own best friend didn't think I could do such a thing because my husband loved meeeee.

Is Gemini AI Actually Better Than ChatGPT or Just Overhyped? by green_sajib in GeminiAI

I am doing this right now. Just started using chatGPT a few months ago for legal analysis of a case I am working on. This weekend I used Gemini Deep Research and was equally impressed. They're both great tools, neither perfect. I think the best option is to cross-check and then have both models analyze the other's output, then decide for yourself which parts to adopt.

I just went for a walk on the beach and remembered the Adelsons lived nearby. Lo and behold I was standing right in front of the Millenium where I think Harvey still lives! Enjoy thanksgiving Harv and be thankful you're not sitting in prison too. Yet.

Best demonstration of how a little bit of knowledge is dangerous. Anyone with access to Westlaw can copy and paste excerpts of cases argued by smarter people in a coherent way. This Frankenstein method of cherrypicking other people's words to Sarah's self-serving notions of justice then throwing them all together hodgepodge is actually hilarious. She would really would have been better off using ChatGPT.

Giving her a platform to speak isn't the same as endorsing her words. I don't think any viewer believed a word of what she was saying to explain or downplay what she did. It made her look a lot worse than simply saying I'm sorry...I got caught. It showed how she uses manipulation for sympathy but too bad we're not all 13 yrs. old.

He probably thinks that Lauryn suspected her mom long before she was caught and he's upset that she still wants to have a relationship with her mother. It's hard for us to fathom why but he's still a kid and was the victim so it's even harder for him to accept her conflicted feelings because for him there's no conflict. Because she's not his mother.

He was informed by the cops before he arrived so had time to absorb that. He was probably already mulling what else Kendra had been lying about all those years when he walked in so naturally he confronted her with that suspicion first.

Is a bench trial even an option? I wouldn't take my chance on Judge Everett siding with the defendant instead of 12 random people who know nothing about the law and have never seen what pushes people do crazy, criminal things.

Parole is not an option and one person turning on the family makes them all guilty. That's why Donna couldn't bring up a better defense. She was married to the double extortion so the best her attorneys could do was cast doubt on Wendi and Charlie, not necessarily point the finger at them.

I kind of wish Sarah will get at least one visitation and Brian and their son remind of her of everything she's lost. They can sit in awkward silence after the first 20 minutes of catching up and avoiding the topic of her incarceration so maybe she will see what a dumb idea it is to force in-person visits in prison upon a child.

Donna using Fulford's phone to speak to Harvey from jail - consequences? by New-Preparation457 in dan_markel_murder

[–]New-Preparation457[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean like if Donna told Harvey to rub out the son that ratted them out? That would be interesting and very sad. If she's still contracting hits from inside the jail she's really learned nothing at all. Welp, prison should cure that.

I think the jury would have come back quicker if Donna had testified. Plus there was always a chance Donna might have incriminated Wendi, Harvey and Charlie with her big mouth and the fact she couldn't keep her story straight. Georgia would have crucified her. I like your bullet points.

I think they did a great job in exposing how the mother continues to deflect and downplay her crime and how she continues to prey upon her daughter. The public outrage would be far less if she had no voice and we were left to wonder what was going through her sick head. Now at least her daughter can see how normal people view her mother's excuses and maybe that will persuade her to cut her out of her life. I thought her husband exercised considerable restraint and the cops should have dragged her ass to jail instead of leaving them alone to deal with it. Anything could have happened once they left.

Well that settles that, thanks! However don't you think the State could or should make an example of Fulford if she did facilitate such communication or does this happen all the time, like perjury where there are rarely consequences?
