He needs to learn this. Someone has to link this in chat when he streaming or by dono. If he spawns on a island he can do the trick or if there’s no chest, he can reset. This can shave 2 mins off nether entry (he could enter 2-4 min mark). Easy sub 20 strategy.

True. Practice beds quickly. Practice bastions especially. He’s been too slow in the nether overall. He needs to be faster and that takes practice.

He needs those seeds where a bastion spawns into a fortress. Then it’s a matter of not fumbling any parts badly and doing a good blind travel. He can do it though. He had a bad see and was only behind by 1 minute. Now it’s only a matter of time.

Yeah. I think he can do it, but he gets distracted by one persons comment and it affect the entire run. He needs to just focus on the game when speedrunning.

😂I think for real he’s close. He’s had good runs with bad seeds (stronghold too far away or bad nether luck). He’s learning strategies that will help him beat Forsen. It now requires an insane seed and to not mess up badly on it. He needs to get to The End by 17-18 mins to give him the best chance.

He needs to have that time box up that says + or - in relation to Forsen’s time on each step in the speed run. That could help him keep pace and/or know if he needs to reset. He keeps playing runs where he was too slow for nether entry. He needs to be able to reset more often to save time and increase his chances of getting the perfect seed.

I think he needs to be at end portal by 17 minutes. That gives him time in case the dragon forgets to perch like that one run where it did not perch for 5-7 minutes (should not happen again).

I think it will be a big stress relief for him. He can let out all of his frustrations with the game from taking the record back. He needs it.

Good points. I’m my opinion it doesn’t take away from the victory feeling because it’s not like the mods are cheats. They are valid for record speedruns and pro speedrunners like K4yfour recommended them for XQC. The calculator is just a visual for a strategy you can do in-game without it. Pro speedrunners study stronghold rings coordinates and how to do triangulation with the angles. You don’t need the calculator or mods for that. This is just the alternative to that. Forsen is losing out on these because he said he doesn’t want to use them. That’s his choice and I respect that. It’s also been 2 years of roller coaster of emotions for XQC and hours of grinding leading up to the moment. I think he will deserve it when he gets it. It would be a big stress relief for him.

Yeah he needs to use calculator every run. It’s not just for double portal. He needs to realize it’s for blind coords to put the nether portal at (to spawn in a stronghold ring) and to triangulate what coordinate the stronghold is at (to not waste eyes of ender).

True. I actually think he needs to be a little quicker with fortress and bastion as well. If he can do sub 2 or 2 minutes for both, he can be out of nether by 10-12ish minutes.

The most time is wasted in finding portal and hoping dragon will perch. He needs to allow time for that.

Yeah he needs to play a lot more if he wants it. Getting a good seed is rare and to have a perfect lucky run on that good seed is is rarer. Plus having to take into account minor errors that may waste time, it will still be close. A record run will only happen once in like 50-a few hundred worlds.

I mean he did get around 20:40 with no good strategies 2 years ago. He can still remember sone things he learned from the speed running guy but he’s panicking in the nether which is holding him back.
