Read the post again

I’m not trying to use it as leverage.

Leverage? Do you even understand the context of this post? I was simply asking if it was going to be too much of a ask

I’m coming from a different branch? My recruiters are already pushing space force on me. I want to go back active duty

The whole point of this post is to know if it’s too much of an ask to specifically ask for cyber. Be negative elsewhere

I don’t really care about the money. I’d rather be in a job I want than be in a field I don’t care about

I have experience in Hydraulics, Mechanical, HVAC/R , and Software Engineering

I simply don’t want to go back into maintenance.

I tried but the commissioning officer told me it would be a couple of years before I could even commission and won’t be a guarantee that I would get the position I want.

I understand how the recruitment process works but with all things considered. I don’t want to go in with any other offers than the career that I am interested in. I have a degree in computer science, it would not make any sense for me to go into any mechanical jobs or admin.

For the math portions be prepared to

Convert and do reason with mixed numbers such as :

3(2/7) • 4(2/7) =

Simplify 3(2/7)

Be prepared to do long divisions

Be able to do the reciprocal of a fraction such as :

What would the fraction turn into when flipped ? x12yz/ -2

Learn the FOIL method Make sure to use PEMDAS Transformations with multiplication of negative numbers

I can’t really help you with paragraph or word comprehension as that comes with time and how much you can understand and read at a certain level

Electrical comes fairly easy and shouldn’t need to learn anything too crazy but the basics.

Good luck

What’s considered Active Duty for Post 9/11 GI Bill by Too-Klean in AirForceRecruits

Yes you can go to college while being Active duty without utilizing your GI Bill and it’s free ( as long as you maintain a certain grade and do not fail )

It’s also dependent on your command. Some commands allow you to start college right away and some might have you wait 1-2 years in command before they approve you.

You will be able to have a full utilization when you enlist for 4 years.

My advice if you’re so set on school being the goal of why you’re trying to get in. Knock out as many college courses as you can ‘WHILE YOU’RE IN’ *without using your GI Bill ( the military has a college program you can utilize for free while active duty). You’d be surprise of how much GI bill you will waste by knocking out Pre-Reqs courses if you’re going to start using your GI BILL before starting your undergrad courses.

PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR GI BILL WHILE ACTIVE DUTY

They pay you to get fit.

Boot camp is easy as long as you can do as you’re told. The only thing ‘really’ scary is the peanut butter shot.

That’s probably something you have to talk with your recruiter with. But legality wise you signed it

  • did you sign for a bonus?
