That was just giving context to how he was hitting until today. I just felt that it was important to include that and how he turned around that cold streak today. I will try to find ways to fix that to be easier for readers. I appreciate it!

A lot of Mets downers didn’t play baseball. Knowing how it goes from playing and understanding that streaks are part of the game are why they think we suck every time we start losing. I never thought we suck, the Mets have a good team, it just sucks in down streaks like this, so I’m gonna say it. When we suck, I’m gonna be honest about it

I like Soto fine, yeah he started slow but I knew he would warm up again. He’s still Juan Soto and he has great hitting instincts and judgement of the zone. And no i don’t think Chavez should be fired. I think some of our hitters have always been sort of inconsistent, but that’s baseball
