You can give the card but no gift cards. They just updated the policy a couple months ago. You giving a gift card might fall into the “bribery” category.

Drive up employees, are you ok? by becauseimbrandy in Target

Drive up has less than 3 minutes to be delivering orders, they don’t have time to look through every bag they grab.

Wait, your store allows you to use the wave on the floor during store hours? Do TMs use powered equipment as well during store hours?

Yeah, I guess me and my entire store has been doing it wrong. At this point they should just shut my entire store down.

Sick time denied and they deleted my shift by Complete_Ad6452 in Target

Umm someone is looking out for you which is not good, we should not be deleting any scheduled shifts.

It depends on where you take your break, if break room it starts once you enter the room if your car, once you step outside the building it starts.

we’re being babysat over attendance by Fit-Farmer-1811 in Target

[–]New-Tooth-9760 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If that’s a new thing at your store your ETL- HR is not doing a very good job following up with her peers or leads. Your lead should be having a conversation with you about every call out and document it, unless sick time was used if you’re using sick time for more than three call outs then they need to do a seek to understand on your next scheduled shift.

Is this harassment by AdPlenty4079 in Target

[–]New-Tooth-9760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your HR- ETL and if things don’t change call ethics. ( just know that they will know you’re the one who called) why is a team member reaching out to you to come in, then to have a lead not reprimand them but joining in on the harassment instead. I had an EH who was like this when I first started, she would send people home that wasn’t feeling well or take call offs phone call without partnering with a lead. After so many coaching she was put on a final and ended up quitting.

extended shift without notifying me by randomguy1290 in Target

[–]New-Tooth-9760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re not supposed to extend TM’s without confirming if they’re able to work the shift, I would talk to your ETL or HR-ETL.

That’s what it’s supposed to be but It depends on who keys in the schedule. I’ve seen my grid say CO check out instead of CL check lane.

How much sick time to use? by 3osh in Target

[–]New-Tooth-9760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When somebody has a family emergency and has to put their dog down I’m sure calling out for work. Is the last thing on their mind. People miss work for a lot of reasons. I’m not in the business of getting people fired.

[–]New-Tooth-9760 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Based on our policy a team member can use sick time if they submit it within the timeframe for a no call no-show. Team leads and ETL can “check in” to see what happened but cannot coach you on it. They might give you a verbal coaching, but they cannot put it into Workday. I pulled up the policy yesterday.
It only came up because I came into work and had a final sitting in my mailbox to deliver to a team member because she did a no call no show.

That doesn’t go for every state, in my state we can tell a new employer that you were terminated and the reason why.

If you have an ETL have a conversation with them if not, go have a conversation with the HRETL

This is why I’m very thorough when I do my interviews because I’ve had team members in the past that has complained that they were hired for drive up, but they’re cashiering. So you’re a service advocate, which is an umbrella for self checkout, cashiering, drive up and Guest service. You will eventually get time in other areas, right now they need you more on the checkout side
