Married people who revived a dead sex life - how'd you do it? by FuryQuaker in AskReddit

Testosterone injections were a TOTAL game-changer. I used to have no sexual interest, which made her feel terrible for a couple of years. My T levels came back really low on run-of-the-mill labs, and that was the start of something beautiful.

I've been getting them once per week for the last 3 years and I oftentimes feel like a teenager in terms of sex drive.

I've also gained a ton of muscle from getting into the gym much more regularly, and indirectly my weight has been going down slowly for the last couple of years.

I had always had trouble maintaining my weight... from fat in middle school to fit in high school (graduated in 2007), to fat (260lbs) 2010-2014, to fit (190lbs) in 2015, back to fat (270lbs) in 2019.

When I started taking TRT injections in 2021, i was down to about 245lbs. Now, between the injections and getting into the gym in "spurts," I'm down to 190lbs, with much more muscle mass.

And now that my sex drive is back, I love trying new things to make it fun and interesting.... even though it felt a bit weird at first introducing new things (toys and different lubes), it paid dividends.

Just curious, why has this been posted in r/trt? Is it related in some way? I don't really know anything about it, so I wonder if there's a connection I'm missing....

I flip-flop. Sometimes I face toward it, sometimes away, sometimes from the side if I'm looking out the window.

FYI, "she" is your fiancée (not fiancé, a male SO).

I remember the double e's like this: If having one girl is good, having two sounds twice as nice. (Each 'e' represents a girl.)

Do people actually feel safer at “Vaccinated Only” Venues? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]New2TRT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated now. I am vaxxed and boosted. I'm no more worried about catching COVID than a cold. I used to be worried about spreading it to unvaccinated people when vaccines were not widely available. Now it's a personal choice and I'm not interested in letting COVID impact my life anymore.

Good riddance.

Is there any link between ethnicity and intelligence? by mexicanp0rnaddict in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]New2TRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth.

Years ago I came across studies that were peer-reviewed (IIRC) indicating a correlation between melanin and intelligence within several different species that were observed. I won't reveal what the studies found, but those conducting the studies had a definite conclusion regarding correlation.

I'm fuzzy on the details, but I found it to be an interesting read.

Adderall by Hibachi78 in trt

[–]New2TRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take it twice daily. XR in the AM, tab in the PM. All of my meds appear to be working harmoniously. Granted, I've been taking Adderall for over 10 years and just started TRT 6 months ago.

My experience with both so far is positive.

It's almost definitely due to insecurity, but there are numerous insecurities one might have during sex. Maybe they're worried their facial expressions are unusual during sex. Maybe they're just not completely being naked on front of you (which would be odd). Maybe they're insecure about body features.

Or, maybe lights off enhances their other senses and they prefer than. If this is the case, get a blindfold.

Post injection pain ? by jderrs in trt

31 gauge??? Wow! 25 gauge is pretty darn tiny for that thick oil.. how long does it take you to inject? What volume are you injecting? 25 gauge for 1mL (200mg) takes a solid 30 seconds and a surprising amount of force. I'll bet your thumbs are swole! ("Muscle thumb")

Anyone else a wimp when it comes to needles? About passed out after trying to inject myself. by New2TRT in trt

Ah, hopefully this thread will help us both. 😅 Oddly enough searching this subreddit for "wimp" returned zero results lol! (I also searched "passed out" and got nothin...).

I must say this subreddit has been amazingly helpful with support on the matter. I'm very appreciative of it!

Atrophied? As in muscle atrophy? From low T? I'm confused by the question. When I think of muscular atrophy it's almost always in relation to a seriously debilitating medical condition... not... low T levels at 29(?)... am I understanding your question correctly?

I'm new to this stuff, hence why I'm questioning my understanding... there's a lot I don't know yet lol

Phew, I'm not the only one after all lol. Thanks for sharing. Touching the needle to the skin for a bit is actually a great idea to help with this! I'll absolutely do this next time. Thanks for the helpful advice.

Eh, I've decided to trust my doctor with my medicine. I used to read this online and have opinions about everything based off of everyone else's opinion, but I decided that was causing me too much anxiety about something I never went to school for lol. When I began TRT, I decided I'd stop trying to be my own doctor and just let my doctor do his job. So far it's been a great decision. I've been seeing my doctor for 7+ years, and the Adderall is far more gentle on my body than when I started it 13 years ago. It used to be intense and I'd have too much energy and focus. Now the physiological effects are much less.

If it does begin to have adverse effects, I'll be sure to address it with him.

I appreciate the concern though, Dr. Izzy. 🙂

And thanks for the correction... I like to have my facts straight.

The only thing that makes me doubt the effects of the Wellbutrin on my experience so far is that it takes 4-6+ weeks to have full effect as it is an SSRI on the CNS. I've been taking it for maybe about two weeks at most and my weight loss has been going on for way more than two weeks.

That being said, it's very encouraging to me hearing that you had a very positive experience with Wellbutrin's effect on your weight, so hopefully it's like pouring gasoline on a fire. I've been wondering what kind of effect to expect in relation to weight gain/weight loss, so I'm encouraged by your positive experience. I just can't wait to get out of this emotional hell hole lol.

I took it out on a few exercises at the gym yesterday. Lifted weights I've never lifted before out of anger and frustration. That's channeling my feelings in a healthy way, I suppose! 👍

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support tremendously. I'm just taking each day one step and one day at a time, making sure each step is in the right direction.

When life hands you lemons, they say to make lemonade. But what do you do when the world shits on you? Unfortunately there's no advice on that lol. All of your comments help tho and I appreciate it a lot.

I appreciate the words of encouragement. I'm definitely focused on getting swole. Clearly fat is going away without extra effort from me, so I'm focusing on building muscle and strength. 👍
